KBR just offered me 140k a year to do IT in Iraq/Afganistan/Qatar

i am currently working in Kosovo as a contractor for the Army. i have to say that so far i love it. i have a few of my friends in Iraq and Kuwait that do what you were offered. they have had no problems where they are at. life is better in Kuwait as you get an apartment and a car. i may leave here in the next few months to go to Iraq. as a contractor for the IT staff my friends arenot allowed to leave the green zone. they tellme things are not as bad as the news makes it. is it worth it it all depends on you. for me this pays for my school when i get back plus buy my house and have no bills. i will be in Kosovo for 2 years if i can and if not i maybe in Iraq for a year, for what i do in IT here in Kosovo is double in Iraq. PM me if you have any questions i should be able to answer some questions as i know allot of KBR people here and in Iraq that do the IT field.

They all wanted me to have security clearance though (secret / top secret) and didn't want to sponsor people for the clearance. Apparently, that's a fairly common problem ad there is apprently a lot of lobbying and some folks in congress are pressing for easier/quicker security clearances. I'm not about to join the military to get my clearance, so unless they get really desperate, I guess it won't be happening for me.

BTW, the jobs they offered me were paying between $120k - $300k, tax free.
