The rebates for Hawaii and Alaska are instore only.
Elsewhere they are good either instore or online.

I'm dumb: I'm not seeing any aspect of rebate mention. I see the price at $114. 02 and even after adding to cart, I'm not seeing anything suggesting the price will adjust after rebates. Just curious since someone above mentioned this was confirmed to be in-store AND online. What gives?

Go here and search for SKU 558866, the rebates are 2nd and 3rd in list. I'd print these out today since they expire tomorrow.

You can also add this cheap CD player to your cart and apply coupon code from FW KDS thread to get it free w/monitor. There are at least two KDS CRT threads, search the end of the 'Hot!!! $34 AR' one to find the code. I did this deal last night.

Or, print the Staples 12% cust. appreciation coupon and use at OD instore (they'll take it) to get the monitor for $20 AR or so plus tax. Last day...

$25 AR isn't bad for me. I just called up CS and they manually put in the coupon for me. I'm too lazy to add stuff I don't want into my cart to use the $30 off coupon. Thanks OP and FW!

The clerk at OD tried to tell me that the rebate would not be honored at the 114.00 price. He said "you cant get a monitor for 40 bucks" I thought /but kept my mouth shut " Sit back and watch me arshole, have you heard of the BBB?" Told him I would take it a 114.00, he said if i purchased it at 169.00 then I would be elgible for the rebate. I read the rebates and there is no mention of the price I pay sale/retail.

I didnt mention the deal to him, but I guess he diverted a few other people today that tried to get in on this deal, by calling and seeing if they would honor the rebates at the web price. And if you are reading this "Nice Try

I got the same line of crap about it being $169 in-store at two different stores. I was told both rebates would be honored but that I had to order online if I wanted the $114 price.

So.... I tried to order this monitor online several times today, but it kept showing up as "not available in your area". So then I tried ordering it at 11:50 PM, May 21st (10 minutes before the rebates expire) and it accepted the order, but it put May 22nd as the date. A$$holes. I've come to expect that kind of crap from places like CrapUSA, but not OD.

By the way, this monitor works fine 1280x960 @ 85Hz, using PnP detection in WinXP SP2. Quality is unfortunately worse than my old Avitron 195TF, but for $40? I think it's worth it.

I ordered one of these monitors back on 1-29-05 the last time this deal was on. The monitor is fine, definately worth an upgrade from a 17", but at 1600x1200 you only get 60Hz so not really usable at that resolution. But 1024x768@85hz and 1280x1024@75hz looks fine.

Now for the bad news, i received the $30 rebate back,but never got the $50 one sent to me , so beware, KDS might not send you the rebate even though you fill out the paperwork correctly and sent it to them in time !!!!!!!!

just to somewhat counter the issues in the above post....

I've done this deal twice -- the last one being the one in January -- and have promptly received ALL rebates. I've read that most people have a good experience w/the rebates.
richardrds... maybe you should give them a reminder call.

Also, regarding the resolution/refresh rates.... There are (at least) 3 different models of "this" KDS monitor (XF-9B, XF-9Bi, XF-9s), ALL OF WHICH OD has the SAME product number on. I know for sure that the 9B and 9Bi have different operating specs -- with the 9B being the more-capable for fast refresh rates. (Too lazy to read-up on the 9s)

Just an update on this last round, I ordered one on the 21st (last day of the rebates), it popped up in my info as "Delivered Short Shipped" and when I called to find out what that meant I was informed that it was a discontinued item that no longer existed, and they couldn't get enough to fill orders, so they were canceling them.

So no, I'm not getting my monitor

No WONDER it's been a week and still nothing at my door. Bah!

Did yours ever say "Shipped by Third Party"??? I'm hoping I get mine since I ordered it on the 21st also. But it's not lookin good now since it's been 4 days now and one of their distribution centers is in the Twin Cities.

They said that "Delivered Short Shipped" means that it wasn't available in their warehouse, and they were trying to find a store somewhere that had one available to ship to me. They were unable to do so and hence had not charged my credit card. I checked my bank today and sure enough, no charge


Worst part is that it STILL shows as in stock on their site, which is crap.

UPDATE!


Basically, I ordered it on the 21st, was supposed to be delivered on the 24th, never was. I waited a week, then emailed their CSR questioning it (played dumb about the rebates), and got a form response. Waited another week for a real response, then emailed again saying that it's obvious they don't care about retaining me as a customer blah blah blah, that it's still on their site and In Stock so I don't see why I didn't get mine.

I was told to call an 800 number for eCommerce solutions, which I did, the guy immediately talked to some manager who explained that they had "issues" with their system on the 21st (BS most likely), and they went ahead and re-submitted my order at the original sale price of $114.02 with free overnight shipping! So I should get it tomorrow, and I'll submit my rebates with the original invoice which is still on their site, and I should get those as well
