KDS 19" CRT Monitor $67AR IS Back

Probably going to pick one of these up to replace my 5 year old (at least) samsung 955df. Its gotten to the point that the anti-reflective coating in coming off the screen. Anyone able to compare the KDS to the Samsung?

Thanks for the tip.....got it. It will replace my Mag Innovision 1595; a 15" CRT from 1995. It cost me ~$500 new and has been giving me problems for the last year.

When I took advantage of this offer a month or so ago I just ordered it online and set it for in-store pickup. There were no problems using the coupon, and no questions were asked at pickup. You just have to give them a few hours after placing the order to process it before you can pick it up. I'm not sure why anyone would want to try and use an online coupon in-store with this option available. Unless maybe you don't have/want to pay with a credit card.

I actually have two of these monitors now. The first one I purchased without using the $30 off coupon last year and I'm still happy with it. It's not the best monitor in the whole world, but it can't be beat for the price and it more than gets the job done for me.

Only 1 problem I can see from this deal is the KDS rebate. If OD decides to ship you the XF-9b model, will the rebate still work for KDS? I want to pull the trigger on this from my brother in law, but I'm not sure about that last $30 rebate...

Can anyone confirm rebates on KDS work with the XF-9b model?

I was worried, too, when I bought my multi-rebate kds 19" monitors in the past.
On both of the two monitors I bought (during different sales), both with 2 MIR's each -- they all had the same questionable "model numbers(letter) don't exactly match" on one of the MIRs. Yet, I got back all rebates (and quickly, too).

I have looked at this deal the last two times, and last time I couldn't afford it, so this time I printed up the info, and presented it to my husband. My current monitor is a 15" CRT from 5 years ago! I can barely read certain fonts on it, it is really bad. My husband didn't want to buy any more monitors, so he agreed to give me the 19" LCD monitor he hadown at the restaurant. It came with the business when we bought it, and they don't actually use it nearly a much as I use mine. So, he keeps the 17" CRT in his office I bought him for $5 at a yard sale last year (he really needs a big monitor for the stuff he does), I get the huge LCD, the small LCD down at the restaurant goes to that computer, and my monitor goes to the other computer that is not really used very muh. So thank you for the deal, without it I wouldn't have asked!!

Is the $8 recycling fee for real or did i get ripped off? I went to pick the monitor up at the store and the lady charged me an extra 8 dollars saying that everytime you buy a computer now there is a recycling fee.

How would this monitor compare to a Sony Trinitron 210GS? It was new around 5-6 years old i think. It can handle 1024x768 @ 75 max without becoming fuzzy but the colors are still great.

Hmm hadn't heard about that. Oh well, it's either that or you have to pay when you get rid of the thing (or do we still have to???)

And yeah, this is a great deal. I did it almost a year ago. Not a great monitor but can't beat it for the price.

Thanks guys, got in on this today....I have a the first 17" monitor ever made....I think you can see the wood-paneling if you look hard enough. Now I can finally play hl2 without getting sick to my stomach!
