Keeping XP vs. Buying Vista

Most of my problems with vista have been with speed, but if you have 4 gigs of ram it maybe worth it. Try it and see if you like it or not and if not then go back to XP.

Most of us here keep a computer for the sake of having a computer.

Kind of the way Car enthusiasts keep cars that never go on the Road. :thumbsup:

While the cars might be of an historical collector Value.

Shiny boxes oozing Blue LED light, made of plastic, and silicone, bought in NewEgg, are not a collector item (at least Not yet). :shocked:

Therefore, as I said before whatever you use does not matter as long as it can do affectively what you need to do.

If you have a copy of XP I'd stick with that until you think you need 4GB of memory of more. The only reason I have Vista is I ran out of XP licenses.

The cheapest place to get Vista is from school, or with a student discount.
