Keeps crashing and crashing and ...

Thats what my computer is doing. My registry keeps getting corrupted 4 times in 4 days. I have to format and reinstall windows. I thought it was my hard drive but scan disk and the western digital program found nothing. could it be my motherboard or IDE cable, or ....! I need some advise.

Check IDE ribbon
Temperature (especially around your hard drive)
If you're on broadband, make sure there isn't anyone always h4x0ring your system
Virus'?

It could be the hard drive...just swap it out, put in an old one and see how that does...

sounds like bad memory..try swapping it with another stick

It sounds like memory to me also. If you are using generic memory I would be especially suspicious, but even name brand can be bad. In the past I have had bad memory and had trouble. If you get new memory be sure to reformat and reinstall windows. When I had bad memory in the past this was necessary.

DocMemory is good for testing memory,go here .

i ran doc memory through 3 burn in loops and it passed all... Ill wait to see what happens now.

Doc Memory is no good. Use Gold Memory.

So does your problem still persist even after reinstall? Try a cpu burnin program.
