Fedor would kill him. Hell any UFC fighter at his weight would. only people Kimbo has faced are has beens or crappy fighters.

he faced Tank Abbot and knocked him out. but hell tank is old and only thing he can do is punch. then he faced Thompson who while he has a winning record has a history of getting knocked out and he has no ground game.

When it did go to the ground Thompson made him look bad. heck the ref should have stoped it because thompson was kicking his ass. Once kimbo got it back up he did land a punch that popped his ear. while bloody it was not enough to stop it but the ref did.

you could tell kimbo was done though. he could bearly talk.

IF ken can survive the first onslaught (who knows. he has been getting knocked out a lot lately) and take him down ken is going to win.

i figure 1st round sub by ken.

but the real fight of freaks is Brock lessner vs Randy Coulture . that should be a great fight.

Kimbo needs time to develop. His record is still 3-0, I could see him fighting the likes of Fedor once his record is in the 17-0 to 20-0 range.

i would have to give it to Lesnar. with kimbos lack of ground game and Lesnars wrestling skill. he would be able to take him down and beat the shit out of him.

it wouldnt be pretty.

fun to watch though.

he will never be a top range fighter. he will also never hit 17-0 unless he continues to fight has beens or crappy fighters.

only reason he gets so much shit is because he is the flagship fighter for his promotion. he should be undercard status but he is always the main event. he has not earned that yet.

People like to see him fight because he has enormous potential. He has the hunger that a lot of fighters are lacking. He is a fighter through and through, all he needs at this point to go from a mediocre street fighter to a top end fighter is more ground experience and ability. His striking game is top notch.

1. Gina Carano is the hotness and can fight to boot.
2. Shamrock will win if he can get it to the ground. Kimbo wins if Ken walks into a fist or knee trying to shoot in for a single/double leg.

In any event, I predict the fight doesn't go into the 2nd round and if I were a betting man, my money would be on Shamrock. While Kimbo has been training with Rutton for a short while, that is no replacement for 40+ MMA fights and years of grappling experience.

Bas said it himself, Kimbo is being handled so to speak. They are building an empire on him. His fights are hand picked so to speak. There is no doubt in my mind that he will beat Ken. Ken is an old fighter and has really fallen down in the last few years. If Kimbo keeps getting handled the way they are doing it for him he is going to be a huge legend in the sport. Bas is slowly increasing his skill and slowly increasing the level of fighter for him to fight. This is the first fight that 'might' test his ground game, but ken has a habit of getting overwhelmed by strikes and losing (see ken vs tito).

Simply, there is too much riding on Kimbo for him to get a fight he can't win.

Does Ken usually fight at Heavyweight? I've only seen him in the early UFC days and against Tito. He didn't seem to be in the same weight class as Kimbo. I think he should be able to win it, but the weight difference might play into.

It?ll be hilarious if someone as bad as Ken Shamrock finally beats Kimbo. The guy has been a C-list fighter basically since modern day MMA came into existence.

Have any of you guys calling out a Shamrock win seen him fight in this decade?

Kimbo is not a good fighter, but he's strong as an ox and can hit a stationary target. Like Shamrock.

I find it laughable people said they want to see Kimbo fight Fedor. Kimbo wouldn't even stand a chance against B-level gatekeepers, let alone one of the best P4P MMA fighters ever! Even I wouldn't want to see Kimbo get fed to someone like Fedor.

Hell, even Elite XC has a few middleweights who would be able to smash Kimbo's face in.

But it's perfect marketing for Elite XC, because they know people are going to tune in to watch the fight, yeah?

thats part of the point. shamrock has sucked for a while. but we think he still has the skills to beat a one trick pony. IF ken can survive the first onslought and get kimbo down its over. while kens ability to withstand punches has dropped a lot he is still dangerous on the ground.

either way its a first round win for whoever. either kimbo is going to knock him out or ken is going to take him down and sub him. i don't see this going to the 2nd round.

Kimbo already has the strength needed to take out someone like Fedor, he just needs to get his ground technique down. In a pure striking match he would CRUSH Fedor.

Even in a pure striking match, Kimbo hasn't shown me anything that proves he would be able to KO or TKO a top heavyweight. And regardless how his ground game develops, Fedor would be able to take him down, get an arm, then rip it off.

But thanks for the Friday morning laugh!

More importantly, how many MMA fights are 'pure striking matches' these days? Even if it starts off as a brawl, most experienced fighters will quickly look to change it up if they feel they are on the short end of things in the stand up.

Nobody is questioning that in his current state Kimbo would get his ass kicked in a ground game against Fedor.

Dude, just give it up... who has Kimbo beaten that would make you think he could strike with a real heavy weight?

Remember how he beat James Thompson? Look at what happened when Thompson fought Aleksander Emelianenko in PRIDE... owned in less than 30 seconds. Thompson is a gate keeper, and his win, loss record shows that.

Unless it's a flash knockout, Kimbo simply isn't ready (and likely won't ever be ready) to face someone like Josh Barnett, Fedor, Andrei Arlovski, or any other fighter who is in the top 10 or 15.
