Like KK, I did the Mega Tour (3.5 hours long) at Kenendy Space Center and it was super cool. :awe:
You didn't miss much by skipping Walt Disney World (BTW, Animal Kingdom > Epcot > Hollywood Studios > Magic Kingdom), but Islands of Adventure (right next to Universal Studios) is something I would've wholeheartedly recommended.
Maybe next time we visit my Mom. The trip was mostly about seeing her and her getting to spend time with her grandson and that we accomplished in a big way. It was a really good visit... but too short. I haven't seen my Mom in probably 2 years at least. Plus she had breast cancer this year along with a double mastectomy... :'(
 on the pics, moks78! I'll try to dig up the pics I took at KSC in the next couple of days and share 'em here too.
When I was there in 1976, one could tour an Apollo program blockhouse. Do they still offer that?
Space X Falcon 9 Rocket launch tomorrow at abt this time.
Wish I could watch this...http://www.spacex.com/webcast/
I just read a book on the early american space-flight program... it was interesting how many of the workers involved formerly worked for Nazi Germany, and that Von Braun, the big pusher for the program, was a former SS officer. I doubt they mentioned that in the exhibit?
If you were a rocket scientist and lived in Germany during the 1930s of course you worked for Nazi Germany. There is no evidence he ever committed any atrocities and becoming an SS Officer seems to have been required for him to continue his work.
