Just came back from my local Office Depot, where they were closing out the Kensington USB Flylights for $3.88 each. Thought it was a good price and picked up a few.
For those of you who purchased an Intel Play QX3 microscope, these things are great for boosting illumination on the 60x and 200x magnification without resorting to an expensive, $500 fiber optic illuminator. Their flexibility is key for positioning the lighting as needed. The light is slightly bluish in tint, but overall the results are quite good.
Hope it helps someone out. As always, YMMV.
subpar
