I'm still waiting for the pattern of behavior to show up. You know the way it's shown up for Senator Franken, President Clinton, Judge Moore etc.

you know, you could always look at the links provided earlier in this thread that showed how the initial investigations into these dude's "sex parties with teenagers" were poorly investigated by the local coppers that were shown to be, surprise, a decent bit "corrupt."

But I mean: the dude blew his brains out after this and what seems to be a long history of allegations that you and I just learned about. I wonder what is your incentive to courageously defend his innocence at this moment?

Dude I posted a link before yours which had the following:

But the seven-month investigation, comprised of more than 100 interviews and thousands of pages of public records, alleges the Republican’s persona is orchestrated to mask a series of concerning incidents — including sexual abuse, arson and false testimony.

The very definition of a pattern of behavior including DOCUMENTED evidence. There was a high probability that this POS was headed to prison.

That Washington Post story is very very concerning. The guy was throwing wild parties with unsupervised teens and no one said anything....holy moly what is going on in these small towns? Also the KyCIR report is implicating that the police intentionally under-investigated this story and also intentionally undercharged calling it a misdemeanor they were investigating as opposed to a felony. Undercharging would allow then to close the investigation much quicker.

If you guys take the time to read the report it's very credible. The girl went to the police immediately. Developed ptsd and needed counseling and reported it to her therapist who took detailed notes. Also there is this weird Facebook thread between the guy and her where he is apologizing for bad behavior at the party last night? This is insane

No one offs themselves for being innocent.

Slightly reminiscent of what happened with the Welsh Labour politician Carl Sargeant (though not sure if it's slanderous of one or the other to make such a comparison).

I'd say it is a sign of how power imbalances are potentially bad for those on either side of them. Working to reduce or remove imbalances of power as much as possible, not only helps those who suffer from abuse by those with power, it can also be better for those with power - either saving them from their own moral weaknesses or removing the suspicion that always accompanies unchecked power.

Which is why I think conservativism, insofar as it means defending heirachies and existing power imbalances, ultimately makes these sort of events more likely rather than less.

Ah, but his suicide note blames 9/11 PTSD for his suicide. But yeah, he knew they had him dead to rights so he offed himself and chose to be a disgusting human being right to the end. THAT'S evil!

I don't believe that at all. What do you feel about Robert Dwyer?
A little different, since he had already been convicted.

I agree, there are other reasons to commit suicide, but if you do it when an accusation comes out, it doesn't look very good.

To AT P&N, this just another gun statistic, another innocent life destroyed due to a gun.

Doesn't seem like that, given the actual posts in this thread. Clearly P&N posters have more to say about it than that, so I'm puzzled how you are able to not see the contradictory evidence right in front of you.

EXACTLY. You guys scream about guns, claim you want to save lives and make a safer country while you ignore much lower hanging fruit that kills FAR more innocent people. This is why your anti-gun rhetoric is completely see through.

You still pushing this long-debunked zombie argument? It's hard to come to any other conclusion than you are deeply dishonest, at this point.

It was hot out
The booze was just the communion wine.
They were drunk on god love.

Why are you not respecting their values?

Man, I always felt like I was missing out on something when fellow high schoolers would rave about their Church "lock-in" parties. Like they'd literally be locked in a church for a sleepover party with only a handful of staff for "adult supervision". Now I know what I was missing.

Debunked? How so? I posted numbers from a solid source. The source I posted says there are 2300 SIDS deaths attributed to second hand smoke alone. Guns kill some 1300 children in total a year. You guys simply do NOT care about saving lives, not at all. You care about pushing a partisan anti-2A agenda because you are anti-gun and want to limit the rights of people you don't agree with. Simple as that.

I'm not sure what makes me more sad...a man taking his life or those that approve of it.

I thought swift, expeditious justice of vile criminals was kinda the hard-right thing, no? But hey, maybe there was some good left in him?
