The error occured when my grandfather was pulling circuit breaks in the house. It so happens that the power he turned off affected my computer; it was on when he pulled the switch. This hardrive has never had any problems prior to the power surge, now it gives me this error. What should I do?

Specs:
Windows XP Professional
8800 GTS 512 Geforce
4 gbs of ram
Gigabyte Mobo

Try a repair install but chances are the HDD isn't the only problem. Anything could have happened.

Boot toyour Windows disk and run Check Disk first. That fixes a lot od BSOD issues.

I put in my Windows XP disk but it asks me for my "Automated Repair Floppy Disk". I didn't get that with the cd, or at least I don't don't remember where it is. What is "Check Disk", I can't seem to "run" that from the run option.

And on a side note, my computer has been going very slow lately. I have 4 gbs of ram and I am used to my computer loading to desktop in under 2 minutes. I timed it and it takes 4 minutes instead. Could it be possible that the power surge created the decrease in speed?

I just come across another problem, and this happens more often than the Kernel_Date_Inpage error.
It goes as follows:

Does this problem also have something to do with my hardrive? Or is it possible that it's something else causing this.
