Kerry has an opportunity to start the healing necessary to deal with the mess we're in.

I'll be very interested in the tone/content of his speech.

Interestingly, I heard on the radio today that he is the first president since 1988?! to get 50+ % of the vote. Is that true??

Yeah, right. How's he gonna manage that without raising taxes? Although I suppose now that he's in, he doesn't need to care about his approval rating any more--that's what scares me.

4 more years will tell *weeps for future*

If the past 6 months of ABC, CBS, and CNN pushing hard for Kerry and bashing Bush failed to convince the majority of people that Bush "lies, cheats and steals", then I'm not sure why you think the next 4 years will be any different. The left will continue to make up stories and forge documents and the majority of the people still won't fall for it.

As much as I disliked Bush, I am very thankful that Kerry has conceded. We didn't need another Gore-Gate month long court challenge.

Let's hope that some true conservatives work on the economic issues in the country.

Congrats to the Bush folks. Let's hope that we can all move forward now.

(Now on to college basketball season )

LOL. The rest of America just selected the President. The ones like you who agree with your statements just lost. So, so sweet. Now I can sit back and watch you cry for another 4 years.

Come now no gloating please. Let's be gracious in victory.

No he didn't Bush is the first president since his father in 1988 to win with more than 50% of the Popular vote. Clinton never broke out of the 40s Strong third party like Perot was will do that for you even though Perot certainly took a lot more from Bush and Dole than he did from Clinton.

You can also look at it the other way around . . he doesn't have to worry about his approve raiting to get the job done right.

Did every evangelist in your country stand up almost straight and walk off to vote yesterday? My my, I do believe so. This is one of my current favourite quotes:

"ROVE: I think as we get to the end, people in all states are thinking about who will be best to lead us in the War on Terror. Who is the person with vision and clarity and moral resolve to fight the enemy until the enemy is completely defeated? And people understand that's George W. Bush"

Can the 'war on terror' be won? Completely, as stated? In 4 years? With a continuation of the methods of the last 4 years?
No, No, No.
Either Rove is so used to manipulating the truth he wouldn't recognize it if it dragged him to a park and beat him with a large branch, (meaning he believes what he's saying, which is scary), or he is lying, and aware of it.

Either way, I don't much care anymore, this just makes me hopelessly weary. Every islamic fundementalist with terrorist-tendencies will surely just lay down and give up now, no more Americans will die in Iraq, Europe and the rest of the world will suddenly see what a fine leader Chim- ..Bush really is.

And to think the majority of Americans are spiteful now.. blind, blind, blind, blind, stupid, arrogant, reckless, stupid, stupid, stupid.

Yet another person who doesn't understand that tax cuts often result in an INCREASE in federal tax revenue due to the growth of the economy.

Good sport Kerry. It would have been a huge mistake to draw it out for 11 days.

why would kerry concede? i mean who knows what those uncounted votes hold...

kerry should have fought for all those votes... cant give up that easily

Republican Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell has released provisional vote numbers for 78 of Ohio's 88 counties, showing a total of 135,149 provisional ballots, according to Blackwell's Web site. It appeared that the difference in the number of votes for the two candidates was greater than the number of outstanding ballots.

Kerry would have to get over 100% of the outstanding ballots to win. Something even a democrat would have to consider impossible

By privatizing the social security administration, eliminating the IRS, and eliminating funding for NPR, National Endowment for the Arts, etc.

He hasn't done it right the last four years, I have no idea why he'd start now.

:Q

Viscious insults and attacks against christians from an "open-minded" liberal?
Who would have expected that?

<blatant sterotype>I guess Kerry didn't get enough of his welfare bum and communist supporters to put down their crack pipes long enough to get to the polls.</blatant sterotype>

Whoever votes for Bush is stupid, be it Christians or what ever else
And liberal isn't really a swearword anywhere but in the U.S, where 'conservative' isn't, I'm almost laughing myself dead. You wouldn't recognize a real communist if he ..aah, enough. What about my comments on Rove's word, regardless of the rest I wrote?

my prediction is that bush will do something even stupider than the first 4 years of his presidency... many of his underhanded deeds as president ( just like every other president has underhanded deeds as well) will become public knowledge and the country will see

But excuse me while I dance to this.

Oh, and one more thanks extended to whoever kept kerry from trying to pull a gore.

CsG

PS - that's about all the "gloating" I'll do here(dancing to the fat lady). Now it's back to the issues and plan for the future of America.

No, now it's back to attacking countries based on faulty intelligence, losing the Iraq war, rolling back personal liberties, rolling back Roe V Wade and peppering the court with a bunch of right-wing extremists. Oh, and fvcking up the economy to the point of bankruptcy.
Great job! Gloat all you want!

2004 Bush/GOP = big win ==>> more States, more Senators (53/44 majority), more Reps (229/200 majority), more Governors (28/21).

Last but not least = More Popular votes (over 3.5 Millions), so no more "select but not elect" from the Democrats.

Maybe with a larger republican majority in both houses now some things can be accomplished. Dems stonewalling and creating conflict on everything brought up just to cause deadlock and try to make Bush look bad when actually it just makes dems look bad as the majority of America saw. Bye bye Daschle.
