oh my fucking god
all of Arizona must be seething right now
a 2nd round draft pick for a Kolb is already a steal for Philadelphia
throw in Cromartie who is probably a top 10 corner (as long as he's not hurt) and Philadelphia got away with highway robbery
I disagree.
If you look at the division we play in, if we would have had at least a half way decent QB last year, we make the playoffs. Our division is without a doubt the worst in the NFL and there isn't a corner in the NFC West that can cover Fitz and shut him down.
49ers re-signed Alex Smith (lol) and appear to be gunning for first place to draft Luck. They dropped their arguably their best corner (Clements) who was the best chance in the division to cover Fitz and while they may actually have a chance to re-sign him, I doubt it.
Rams have Sam Bradford and Stephen Jackson. Nobody else at a skill position on that team appears to jump out at you so the likely hood that the Rams become a dominant team this year are next-to-nil but if they cab keep up Bradford's development, I'm sure we shall see an influx of talent headed to StL.
The Seattle Trojans. LOL. I mean who really leaves what is essentially an NFL team in the PAC 10 to coach in Seattle? Pete Carroll is a great recruiter no doubt, but I surely doubt his ability to be a professional head coach. Winning the division last year was the aforementioned product of playing in the NFC West. You talk about terrible teams being terrible? Who just cuts their best QB and TRADES for Tavaris Jackson? LOL. I'm surely not expecting much from Seattle.
With that being said, good luck to Philly. You get a very soft corner that CAN make plays on the ball, but don't expect him to be physical or make very many tackles. AS fast as he is, there should be no reason why WR's out run him and score at will like they did last year. I'm sure you all remember that Super Bowl winning drive Pittsburgh had where Roethlisberger threw to Holmes in the end zone? Right, well guess who was the CB assigned to cover him? Who was 1 of the 3 defenders in coverage that could not cover that play? Oh, that's right it was DRC!
I think with the drafting of PP7, I'm not too worried about our coverage unit, especially with the lack of quality WR's in the NFC west. Besides, when you go up against one of the WR's in the NFL during practice, you can't do much better then that!
While I agree that the FO is full of retards and wish Graves was no longer employed, I really don't think this will be a bad trade for us. It's not like we really had that many options and I truly don't think that Orton would have been that much better of an option. Bulger certainly would not have been the answer.
I try to stay as unbiased as I can with the Cardinals and realize of course, they are not the A1, Gold Star team to play for, but playing in the NFC West sure helps! LOL
