Arizona got raped, bunch of idiots over there running that organization

Seahawks fans say thank you. Although I do think Kolb has a chance to do some good things, but that contract can hamstring the Cardinals in the coming seasons.

Wow, arizona's defense was bad last year, what will happen without one of the best CB's in the game around? Hope Kolb can score 30+ points a game, cause it may take that to win.
If you watched the Cardinals last year, you would know DRC wasn't even close to being one of the top CB's in the league. He was horrible at times last year. And he doesn't fit their new system.

So is this Kolb guy a top prospect or something?

You know we're talking about football, right? Kolb was drafted in the second round out of Houston in 2007. Hasn't played too much (due to McNabb and Vick), but he's been offensive player of the week a couple times. Small sample size, but I think the Cardinals just got robbed...

Wait, what? Why is there a football thread? Baseball is still on TV. Football doesn't matter right now.

1) The tag cleary says "deeko <3's football"
2) The OP clearly says "Cardinals", but does not mention St Louis
3) The baseball regular season is worthless and not worth talking about.

shut your whore mouth!

and it is certainly far more important/interesting than off-season BS....especially for an off-season that may not have a season.

Meh - a football free agency signing has much bigger implications than one of 162 regular season baseball games.

if one out of 162 games isn't important, then there would never be single-game playoffs at the end of the year to determine playoff spots.

but there are.

They are very rare and necessitated because the 162 game season ended in a complete draw for first place in the division. It also wouldn't be fair on the team who has to go through an additional 5/7 game series before the playoffs even began.

Obviously if it's so close a single game can matter...but at the same time, a single game still represents a tiny fraction of the season. One game game in the NFL is worth multiple series in baseball, and that's a simple statistical fact.

however, this is completely meaningless in the context of this thread, so there is no point in discussing it here.

Mentioning Cardinals and trading at this time of year people are much more likely to think of baseball, being that the trade deadline is in 3 days.

The fact that the link contains "nfl", neither Kolb nor Cromartie play baseball and all baseball contracts are guaranteed should eliminate the thought that the OP was referring to baseball. That's all without actually clicking the link posted.

I just read the thread title.

Reading the contents of the post makes things boring.

oh my fucking god

all of Arizona must be seething right now

a 2nd round draft pick for a Kolb is already a steal for Philadelphia

throw in Cromartie who is probably a top 10 corner (as long as he's not hurt) and Philadelphia got away with highway robbery

I disagree.

If you look at the division we play in, if we would have had at least a half way decent QB last year, we make the playoffs. Our division is without a doubt the worst in the NFL and there isn't a corner in the NFC West that can cover Fitz and shut him down.

49ers re-signed Alex Smith (lol) and appear to be gunning for first place to draft Luck. They dropped their arguably their best corner (Clements) who was the best chance in the division to cover Fitz and while they may actually have a chance to re-sign him, I doubt it.

Rams have Sam Bradford and Stephen Jackson. Nobody else at a skill position on that team appears to jump out at you so the likely hood that the Rams become a dominant team this year are next-to-nil but if they cab keep up Bradford's development, I'm sure we shall see an influx of talent headed to StL.

The Seattle Trojans. LOL. I mean who really leaves what is essentially an NFL team in the PAC 10 to coach in Seattle? Pete Carroll is a great recruiter no doubt, but I surely doubt his ability to be a professional head coach. Winning the division last year was the aforementioned product of playing in the NFC West. You talk about terrible teams being terrible? Who just cuts their best QB and TRADES for Tavaris Jackson? LOL. I'm surely not expecting much from Seattle.

With that being said, good luck to Philly. You get a very soft corner that CAN make plays on the ball, but don't expect him to be physical or make very many tackles. AS fast as he is, there should be no reason why WR's out run him and score at will like they did last year. I'm sure you all remember that Super Bowl winning drive Pittsburgh had where Roethlisberger threw to Holmes in the end zone? Right, well guess who was the CB assigned to cover him? Who was 1 of the 3 defenders in coverage that could not cover that play? Oh, that's right it was DRC!

I think with the drafting of PP7, I'm not too worried about our coverage unit, especially with the lack of quality WR's in the NFC west. Besides, when you go up against one of the WR's in the NFL during practice, you can't do much better then that!

While I agree that the FO is full of retards and wish Graves was no longer employed, I really don't think this will be a bad trade for us. It's not like we really had that many options and I truly don't think that Orton would have been that much better of an option. Bulger certainly would not have been the answer.

I try to stay as unbiased as I can with the Cardinals and realize of course, they are not the A1, Gold Star team to play for, but playing in the NFC West sure helps! LOL

The most popular and highest revenue generating sport (professional or amateur) in the country, disagrees with you.

I love my Baseball as much as the next guy, but saying that really makes me doubt your sports knowledge/intelligence. :-\

You're an NFL scout? How exactly do you know more than NFL teams and GM's do? How do you have any idea how good he is? You sit on a couch and watch the games, right?
Really? This is your post? This is your retort? Wow. just wow. Scouts are infallible, then? No one has ever overpaid for an unproven player that didn't pan out as hoped? And no fan is allowed to assess a player? We must sit quietly with without hands folded, in awe of the genius of an NFL scouting department?

Sure is my post. I'm just wondering how you are 100% sure that Andy Reid made everyone think Kevin Kolb is way better than he really is. That says to me you know that he's not nearly as good as everyone thinks he is. I'm wondering how you know this? If it's just an opinion, well everyone's got one, yours isn't any more special than the other 50,000,000 couch potatoes watching football.
