well it's a cute lil ah heck, but if I add one more thing to my keychain in addition to thumbdrive, mLeatherman, tape measure, camera remote, shopper UPC tags, car remote, minimaglite, etc (and I think there's even a key or two on it "somewhere"), well, I might just tip over the next time the wind blows and short circuit myself. I guess I need a purse, or a jock & cup, LOL.

Just one question... according to the specs I need a "24 mega-character or above" monitor and 32MB of ROM... where can I get those????

Yeah - I set one of these (from sharperimage$49) up for a friend - totally sux no real zoom and no depth in the lense. I told him to take it back.

Those images are better than I expected from such a small, cheap camera. Seems like a good stocking stuffer (if a big late for Christmas).

i agree...you guys seem to have awfully high expectations for a camera the size of a key chain that costs $16. I think its a pretty cool and useful tool...I low quality pic is always going to be better than no pic at all.

My girlfriend got one for me for Christmas and for the size the picture quality is okay. The problem i had with it is that in any situations with less than optimal light, like normal room light the camera ceases to take pictures. The camera would take one picture for every 25 times i pushed the snap button. I told her to return because she paid a lot more than 16 dollars for it and she's getting me a canon sd10 with a little help from my wallet also. $16 is a good deal for a tiny digital camera if you can't bring your normal digicam with you but only expect to be able to take pics in direct light.

I have not used one but did pick up a cheap digital camera a few years ago and it ate batteries like they were going out of style so you may end up paying more in battery 'fees' then if you paid a little more for a better camera that has a better battery/battery life.

most camera the biggest part is the lense to take good pic + Batt to last for awhile. Everything else can be made very small. Imagine they can make a 2gig drive as small as a car key. So all U need is this 2 gig + a photosensitive chip to capture the pic and save it to that 2gig + batt depend on how long U want it to last. Of cause flash is out of the question since it take so much power. There U go, a small cam with 2 gig to store suck pic. When the entire point of the cam is the pic and U get suck pics.

I got one of these a few weeks ago for $17.00 shipped. Its a piece of junk, but what can you expect. It uses one AAA battery and if you leave pics in the memory it will wear the battery down in 3 days, also taking the battery out will erase all pics in memory. It will take OK pics with a lot of sunlight but just be sure you download them as soon as possible. The software is clumsy but a no brainer. This is just a toy, but then a kid would probably break it in a few days anyways. As far as putting it on your keychain? its a bit to large to fit in your pocket (jean pocket).

Not bad! For $70 bucks, I'd expect flash memory rather than SDRAM. But it's got a secure digital card slot, which makes up for it.

The only downside I see to the Veo Mini camera is I don't think you can buy it from anywhere but the vendors site. Paying retail sux, and ATHD is all about the bargain. If this was sold at street price of $50 or less, we would all be buying them to go along with our Athlon/Pentium cpu keychains. (Not sure whether to add a smiley or frowny .... I laugh too until I remember frying my 1600+, then I frown)
