Hey guys, I don't know if this is the actual correct place for this thread, but I'm going to try since it seems fitting. X3

What keyboard/mouse are you currently using?
How does it suit your gaming needs?
What other mice/keyboard have you had that you can give feedback on?

Current Mouse: http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g600-mmo-gaming-mouse
Current Keyboard:http://www.corsair.com/en-us/landing/k70 (I got the cherry)

My first gaming mouse was from razer, just the standard buttons + the numpad on the side. Ever since I could never go back. Over time I bought 2-3 razer mice and they all broke the same way. They would just double click randomly when I clicked once. Ever since I've had the Logitech g600 that has a ring finger click. It's kind of awkward at first, but once you get used to it, it'll never let you down and it's so convenient.

I never really had too many issues with keyboards. The k70 was gift from someone awesome and I love it. It's smooth typing and gives you the satisfying clicky sounds. You can customize what keys you want lit up for what game you're playing I guess. I usually just have WASD, 1-6, Esc, and tilda lit up for convenience.

Tl;dr: I hate you Razer

I got a Logitech G4 mouse, best mouse i've ever had. Unless you play MMO a lot buttons on the side are not worth it. I had a Naga and the buttons stopped working after a month, it was just awkward and not very good design.

CMstorm keyboard is a good keyboard.

I used the buttons on the side for more than mmos. I have the G4 at work and I miss my side buttons. G4 is very minimal imo. It's okay for work but it doesn't really fit me.

Oh, I also like the button the G4 that allows you to infinity scroll. It probably provides me too much entertainment at work.

I have the Logitech Wireless G700 and do like it a lot. The only downside is (while gaming wirelessly), it sometimes isn't as responsive (after an hour or two) as when it's wired/plugged in. I like the fact that you can program all 13 buttons.......it has been pretty solid for the past year.
I got the Microsoft Sidewinder X4 keyboard.....no complaints whatsoever.

I've heard mixed reviews about the Belkin N52te. I am under the impression that, maybe not all, but a decent portion of the complaints is that it doesn't feel natural? Or it just make some time getting used to?

What's your actual opinion on it for people who have yet to try it or looking into it?

Had a deathadder 3.5G for a year. LOVE the mouse. The cable is very flexible. I play quake 2 competitively and it keeps up.

It started double-clicking recently, I sent it in for warranty(3 yr warr btw). Awaiting my replacement. I picked up a steelseries rival. It's a great mouse but the stiff cord kills it for me.

I will keep it as a backup because it feels delicious in my hand.

I'm upgrading to these this week, my current keyboard is getting pretty nasty looking, I've been using it for probably 9 years at this point as well as the logitec mx510 mouse.

Going to these this week.

The old keyboard and mouse are going to be used on my network rack that I've got setup.

Using nearly the same setup. Had G15 for what seemed like decades (over 5 years) but I replaced it last year and with the other system I had it connected to it finally died. Great keyboard

It's replacement is a G510.

The Mamba Hex is probably the best mouse I have ever used. Much better than the 20 button Mamba and while it's targeted at Moba's, the side buttons are setup so well it's extremely usable in other situations.

That Belkin looks interesting though. Never thought of getting that kind of single use gaming keyboard.

hmmm, i haven't had any issues with it other than that i have very small hands, so the top row of keys are a bit hard for me to reach. also, sometimes it's a little easier to accidentally move it around on my desk than i would like, although that is an easy fix. i just havent fixed it yet.

as for feeling natural, it took time to get used to because i got it for fps games which were also new to me at that time. as you know, in those games you use your mouse for weapons and the wasd keys to move around. i was used to mmo games, where i use the mouse to move around, and the keys on my keyboard for spells/actions. since i had never really used the wasd keys like that on my keyboard, the whole process felt weird to me. but i dont think that was the fault of the keypad. i think it would have felt weird on the keyboard as well as the gamepad... it was just me learning a new process.

now that i am used to it, i like using it.

This is my mouse:

I play just about every kind of game with this setup, except for those which are more suited toward a gamepad.

Woah~ Trackball mouse. I've heard those can be extremely precise with regards to aiming and stuff like that. What's your experience with it?

Just got a Razer Deathadder 2013. Pretty nice, but whoever thought to give the back a beveled edge needs their head examined. My palm kept getting pinched beneath it when I tracked left until I took some sandpaper to it to round it out. The flashing logo is also an annoyance when trying to watch a show.

Keyboard is a Microsoft Natural Elite I've been using since 1999. Pretty much the best keyboard ever.

That is correct. I started using a trackball about 5 years ago because some enthusiasts told me they were superior for first-person shooters. Took me a few weeks to get used to it, and since then, I've never looked back. They give you a much wider range of motion and require fewer muscles to operate. They are also not limited by the size of your desk or mouse pad; there is no picking up the mouse, or no "rowing". I can do lightening-quick 180-degree turns with the flick of a finger. Very ergonomic and comfortable too.

Of course, trackballs come in wildly different varieties and some are better for gaming than others. If anyone wants to know more I'd be happy to explain.

Logitech MX518
Thermaltake Meka G1 (MX Blacks)

I really hope the MX518 never goes bad, it's a fantastic device but discontinued...

Meka G1 is working great for me, this thing is indestructible.

I use this with my "desktop" PC. I say desktop in quotes, because right now it is not really on a desk, nor I am using a desk at all. Keyboard on my lap, trackball to my side.

And occasionally, this.

In this manner

And agreed with Dankk, there is infinitely more "cursor sliding" space with a trackball (finger or thumb) than a lift-drag-fatigue mouse/mousepad. It is very great for gaming once someone adjusts to it (because one isn't acclimated to using those muscles in such a manner). Once one does, it isn't much effort over time in gaming, and it doesn't stress your entire arm and wrist.

On top of that, my arms are naturally at my side in my seating positions of using them (couch and desktop/HTPC PC, or SP2 otherwise) versus having them raised/elevated for a desk or table top.

I adapted to the trackball, out of a HTPC need. I since stayed with them since. It is a shame that for "gaming" cursor pointer devices that one doesn't think about the less fatigue in such a manner (arm fatigue). It is a shame that my Trackball doesn't have more than five buttons, but that isn't a hindrance in many games already.

Corsair M95 for mouse. It has the most side buttons that are arranged in an actually useable pattern.

Logitech G15v1 for the keyboard, the Macro keys & software really helps me get the most out of games.

SteelSeries Diablo III Mouse for the mouse obviously, it' durable and has 4 extra buttons (2 on each side) which come in handy in some games for strafing, equipment/skills selection or just using all skills in D3 with just 1 hand.

If you can find a store that sells a wide variety of mice I highly recommend going in and trying some out to find out which are more comfortable to your hand. I find some mice are too angular (Razer, Roccat etc) for my hands. I would avoid touch mice though as they can be overly sensitive and lead to many miss-clicks.

The way it crooks up at the wrist made it painful to use, for me.

Keyboard: IBM Model M, and occasionally a Logitech G13 (comfortable, great software, but terrible key placement and key feel).

Mouse: Logitech G400S, though I'd like them to update the G300 with a finer sensor, and change to that. No trackball, ATM.
You will someday know the sorrow that we Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 users faced.
And the Trackball Explorer. There's still nothing like it, and I haven't found a suitable replacement. But, like the Intellimouses, they could only repaired so many times, and now sell for huge sums...

If you have the money, I highly recommend the Corsair K90 as a keyboard.

And the Steeleseries Rival as a mouse.

Both of which provide excellent performance and comfort.

I have the K60 (non-backlit), my wife has the K70 (backlit).

The keyboards feel great - the LED's the on wifes keyboards have been dying on a weekly basis.

Logitech Lite Keyboard this thing is a tank - had it for 10 years and it survived 5+ years of WoW raiding and tons of play on other games.

Logitech G500s Mouse I've not been so lucky with mouse durability, started with a G5 replaced with another G5 replaced with a G500 replaced with this G500s. Logitech support is excellent though, I've only paid for one replacement mouse once the original was out of warranty. The G5X line just feels most comfortable in my hand.
