keyboard question!!!

i have a generic keyboard (dont ask me what brand)
its got three keys, power, sleep, wake keys below the del, end and pg dwn keys.
oh its a ps/2 kB
wondering what these are for never seem to do anything.
my config:
athlon 650 on abit ka7-100.

Usually I see these kinds of keys on OEM systems where the system is configured to accept them. I'd think you could use trial and error to map them to their respective functions: you could write a little program to check the keyboard port for a value, run it and then press the keys, record the values, and then map them to their respective functions using Windows. It should be possible, but I've never tried to do this.

One more thing: you could use the FCC ID on the back (it's an electrical device, it has to have one) and check the FCC code to find the manufacturer and then try to find drivers for the keyboard at the manufacturer's website which enable these functions.

i'll post the numbers soon, but its a turbo-plus key board. what the heck can i do with thos power, sleep, wake and turbo keys.....
