Keyboard with LCD

Looking to replace my aging G15 Logitech keyboard, I don't see many keyboards out there now with the LCD screens in them. Is there an alternative to the LCD in the keyboards other than an OSD? I use it for monitoring temps, FPS, and Afterburner stats while gaming. I would really like to find something that offers the same functionality, but am coming up short. What do you guys use to monitor everything, I find the OSD to be bothersome while gaming.

I didnt ask for more keyboards with LCD, I asked what other alternatives there are too using a keyboard with LCD for monitoring. Does anyone use a small auxiliary monitor? That razer keyboard is nice though. Thanks for the links.

Haven't had the need to since I run with 3 monitors so I just run temp monitors when I want to run them on one of the side monitors. Out of curiosity I did a search to see how small of a USB monitor is readily available. The smallest I could find was 7" and I think that might be a bit too big for your purposes. If you have a smartphone though perhaps using it as a monitor along with a program like Roccat's Power Grid will accomplish the same goals.

It's cute, but chiclet style key caps?? That sucks. Big time. Do you want it to be cute or to be functional? $250 so you can say, "It looks so cool!" Pass.

What you stated seemed to say to me that you were looking to replace your G15 but didn't see many other keyboards out there with LCD displays so you were looking for a way to monitor what you wanted to monitor via OSD because you could not find keyboards with LCD displays.

I use a G13 now for games and for the LCD screen. I had a G15 V2 and couldn't give up the screen when I needed something different. Way too useful.

Damn, I never realized chiclet style keys don't work. Strange considering the vast quantity of keyboards available with them on the market. Do you just use an on screen keyboard then or what?

What don't you understand? Available != good experience. I used a chiclet style keyboard on a laptop today. Yuck. It's available. :hmm: Unless you have an Ultrabook a chiclet style keyboard makes no sense. Maybe if all you do is hunt and peck. I'm visualizing you now with your index finger typing. I'll give you it looks cool. That it does. Just sucks for actual data entry.

So based off using a laptop with chiclet style keys you've determined that all chiclet keyboards are the same? Ok, makes more sense now. I made the mistake of thinking you might have had experience with the product you're recommending against. Now I'm visualizing you as some old guy who's mad because he doesn't hear a clicking sound every time he presses a key.

I've got two Razer keyboards with chiclet keys (Lycosa, Deathstalker Ultimate), 2 Logitech's with chiclet keys (K810, K830) and a mechanical Logitech (G710). I type all day long and I prefer the chiclet Deathstalker to the mechanical G710.

i went the route G15v1 --> G15v2-->G510 (current).

I do miss the screen from my G510, but it was a horrible keyboard overall.

I know there are USB-powered monitors that might be able to achieve your goal, some as small as 10".

After I had four keys fail on the G510, I went to a Rosewill mechanical. I had an IBM model M before that, and only bought the logitech to have some extra features. It does have more features than the IBM, but reliability and key feel are SEVERELY lacking.

I really liked having info on the keyboard screen like game profiles, RSS, and sensor info, but it was not worth it for the terrible reliability I experienced with my G510.
