Small cute toy. Not great for picture quality, but better than that squishy toy you use for a keychain. What you don't have one?

It's .1 megapixels (i.e., 1/10 of a megapixel). They have a sample picture from the camera. It's not terrible. It's not like you could develop these pictures into anything worth printing, though. Still, we are talking about $12.99, shipped, for the camera.

Wish someone would market a QUALITY, decent resolution keychain digicam. I'd buy it and I'm sure others would too. Fringe gimmicks like this usually the absolute rock bottom when it comes to quality.

I saw an ad for a 3 mp digital "keychain" camera - I thought it was a Kyocera.

I don't know what kind of quality you're looking for but ThinkGeek.com has some interesting keychain cameras. They're a little on the pricey side (~$100) but one of them is 3.1mp (software enhanced) / 2mp (optical) and about the size of a credit card. There's also a 1.3mp keychain digicam that looks like a USB keychain drive. Check 'em out.

If you want they have this exact same camera avaliable on ebay for like 20-30 bucks that's .3 mega pixals or 300k. I haven't looked online yet to find one outside of ebay but if you want one of these I'd pay more for the extra quality.

If you want to pay extra for quality, then you shouldn't spend $20 to $30. Should just spend $300 more for a decent one.

Are there any comparisons of these 'toy' class cameras as possible gifts for kids? I don't mind spending $30 for a reliable toy that has decent quality for my nephew. I don't want to spend $100

This camera is much better than phone camera, but if you are looking for good quality..this is not it. I personally has a casio S3, love it......

Strange, Compgeeks has this keychain camera for $21.99 (plus shipping). From the picture, it looks like the same camera, but compgeeks says it takes 640X480 pictures. (Hmm... fishy.) Probably still not printable pix though. Also of interest, they have this refurb Minolta X20 for $135 (plus shipping), although brand new, i think it only goes for like $15-20 more. While not keychain compact, pretty small and I'm sure takes better pictures (point and shoot film camera equivalent probably).
