In a perfect world, we would be developing Nuclear Power, as clean energy. Easy to produce and powerful.
Coal and Oil, and other fossil fuels can be utilized to produce products, and not burned.

How about making each state responsible for their own nuclear waste instead of shipping it cross country to store, making it the responsibility of some other state's residents?
I recently moved back to Washington...and have seen many news reports about all the problems at Hanford with their nuclear waste storage...

While the idea of nuclear energy is good...in practice, it leaves a lot be desired. MAYBE once fission is abandoned and fusion becomes reality.......
