Been seeing these ads on Dish for the past two days or so. This eve, picked up a bundle and they were deeleeeesioussss.

KFC Regulars help me out here, what does a 10 pc regularly go for $13?

Kit contains 2 breasts, 2 wings, 3 drums, 3 thighs (or is it 3 breasts)?? Chicken is a chicken is a chicken. The only white meat!!! Let's face it, fish/seafood is not "meat", and that pig, wanna-be-a-white-meat is not as healthy as white meat is it? No, it's really a PIG! *rambling goes on*

Anyhow, enjoy.

Hehe, thanks.

Nothing like fattening up before heading to college. I hope those rumors about KFC chickens being genetically altered, having no heads, but meatier (sp?) edible parts aren't true. I dunno. Thanks for the heads up.

Kentucky Fried Chicken was forced by the consumer board to change its name to KFC because the product they use is no longer technically chicken. Yum.

thats a fairy tale, KFC changed its name because the word "fried" doesn't fit into people's healthier outlook, if not eating habits.

You're both lying. Kentucky Fried Chicken is too long to say. The same reason IBM no longer calls itself International Business Machines...

Yeah.. and if you truly believe that, I've got a bridge I'm looking to sell. REAL cheap.. It's in Brooklyn.

KFC changed it's name as because they wanted to expand their menu and their name hindered expansion and the word 'fried' just isn't very friendly.

If I hear one more idiot go one about chickens without beaks and feathers I think I'll start shooting.

mmm, biscuits.. That's a good word for it: "kit". It's a food kit with biscuits.

LivinLaVivaPollo, BiggieC: On the subject of Gentically Engineered Foods, while you'd come across many findings from the net about his issue, you'd also find other links that speculate on the "chicken issue".

Linky Dinky on Chickeny: Eat Me!

<< don't they always have this deal? >>

, SendTrash: Na, it's on Promo. I usually buy serv-for-two sizes instead of bucket-for-a-zipcode sizes. I believe KFC regulars would agree that it's a good deal.

*lol* We are so used to the word Kit.... "This kit contains Software, hardware, IDE cable, CDROM cable and setup Poster and stickers/decals blah blah"

My 'kit' in particular contained above-mentioned 10 pcs, 6 biscuits and 3 pks of honey sauce, 6 pk honey mustard, 2 tatoes and 1 coleslaw. Darn, they were outta Corn!

It's a shame you young-uns weren't around when this stuff used to be much, MUCH better tasting. Back when managers were managers and not punks, back before kfc was acquired by RJR or pepsico. Ah those were the days..

or maybe my taste buds are just shot.

If you are in Riverside, CA, the KFC on University Ave. and that one street after Chicago always has 10 pieces of chicken for $4.99

Or was it 12...

IT'S TRUE though! It's all a conspiracy to get rid of our freedoms...they start with food, then move on to economic and religious freedom! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

(I hope you realize that statement was a sarcastic comment...

Boston Market had their Market feast.. which was a whole chicken with 4 sides and biscuits.

They chopped it up for me and when I opened it up and the the GF get the first piece, right in the center was the ass! Real funny those people since they gave my chicken to someone else behind me and had to rush to get the next one ready.

Rear anal portion.. lets fight for that part. Yummy

I agree. This is about the average price for a 15 piece meal from Church's... and the chicken is far greasier... which means better!

Hehe.

My uncles neighbor sells chickens to KFC, they all have beaks and feathers.

Funny though, I just realized they are all 7' tall.

Your tasts buds arent shot. Kentucky Fried Chicken used to be soooo good when Sanders owned his creation. Some 30 years ago, I think. Remember the commercial " a secret blend of eleven herbs and spices".

I wonder what the recipe is now?

The answer was already mentioned in this thread, though there was some disbelief about it I think. The reason it was trunucated to KFC was a corporate decision to hide the "FRIED" word in light of suggestions that the public were gravitating towards more health conscienceness.
