KG7 and Win2k causing hair loss

I have the KG7 (no raid) and am having the some crazy irq problems in win2k. The video, nic and sound are all trying to share irq 11 ! I've been pulling my hair out for a couple days now and decided I'd come here and see what you guys thought.
The system is booting, sometimes it will reset right at the windows login a few times before it does, but once it boots it at least runs.
I have tryed changing pci slots to no avail. A few times I got the nic and sound cards on another irq but after a reboot it is back on irq 11 !!!!

Asus/Elan Vital A-10 midtower case with 300w Elan Vital power supply (AMD Recomended)
Abit KG7
Bios Version 5w (newest supposedly)
AMD 761 Agp Filter driver version 5.22 for win2k
Via 4 in 1 drivers version 4.35 (agp filter not installed)
AMD Athlon XP 1600+
2 CORSAIR CM72SD256R-2100 32X72 PC2100 256MB REGISTERED CAS2.5 DDR DIMM (512 total)
Western Digital 60GB 600BB EIDE ULTRA-ATA/66-100

Get a 300+ Watt Power supply if you don't have one. I have this same board but with Raid and it is doing the same thing and so today I am testing wether a 300 watt power supply will fix it. I don't think it is an IRQ problem. Because I took out everything except the video card and it still locks up. and it doesn't lock up on a Duron.

But why is it resetting just before login often and after a few resets it will sometimes fail to detect the cdrom?
The only way to get the cdrom back is to reset cmos and reset bios settings.

disable ACPI in the bios and reinstall Win2k.

300 Watt ps didn't work..... I have come to the conclusion that this motherboard is defective with Athlon XP Processors. It works fine with a Duron. I will talk to Abit tonight and see if I can get any technical support. Otherwise they will probably end up sending me another one. Since I am reviewing this motherboard for them.

Mine is running fine once it boots up. All the sisoft sandra tests are consistent with the hardware used.
If you havent already try the new bios. It solved a few problems for me.
It wouldnt boot until i installed the new bios with xp support.

I have the newest BIOS but I will re flash it just to make sure.

The KG7 does not allow you to disable ACPI in windows. Only choose between ACPI S1 mode and S3 mode.

I don't seem to have any IRQ problems with mine running 2000 Server (after flashing the bios to an older one), but then again, all I have is a video and nic card.

BTW - I am also running an XP 1700+ with the RAID controller on a 4J bios instead of the latest. Works
