Kick Ass 2- Great movie

Just saw KA2 this afternoon. Easily the best comic movie this summer. With IM3 and MoS setting the bar low, I'm glad at least one comic movie got most of it right.

The biggest fans see it first. The user rating will go down.

The first one was Critics 77% and Audience 80%. So critics in general liked the first one.

I kind of lost interest in the 2nd one when they changed the screenwriter and director, from Matthew Vaughn, who's never directed a bad movie, to Jeff Wadlow, who's never made a good movie.

They are. Mark Millar, the writer of the comic, tends to be fairly negative and nasty in his writing, and he seems to have contempt for both the readers of the comics, as well as the story and characters he wrote. That's just his writing style in general.

Why didn't they get the original director?

From what I've heard, Vaughn was already booked, and Wadlow penned the entire script and sent it to Vaughn. Vaughn, who didn't even commission it, liked it enough to ask Wadlow to direct the movie.

Eh, I thought Man of Steel was better than Kick-Ass 2, but I thought Iron Man 3 and Kick-Ass 2 were pretty equal as neither of them were that great. Honestly, I thought this whole summer has been pretty awful for movies. At this point, I'm really, really, really hoping that The World's End is good. It's at a 93% currently, but it is a British movie that already released in the UK.
