jlee75, thanks for that link! It looks like it's about $10 S&H for a single case, which is the lowest price that I know of.

This has been said a few time, but not very clearly..

This case is the exact same case as the Antec case. Antec and Enermax don't make cases. They buy from 3rd parties. The reason Antec has a good reputation in cases is that they buy high quality stuff to put their name on and resell. The difference is that Antec puts an Antec PSU in (which enermax is much better than an Antec PSU) and Antec puts some fans in which some resellers don't. So, this is a great, high quality case. You won't be sad you got it. I have the Antec SX1200 and I put an Enermax PSU in there and I love it!

Dude!!! Those cases are amazing...I didn't know colorcases.com had such awesome looking cases. Anyone with any experience with them? How's the cooling in some of those cases?

their cases aren't designed with great air flow or over clockers in mind... you buy these cases for asthetics, not functionality.

Those Lian Li and Antec cases have "decent" functionality the last time I checked.

.... NOT so true. Antec cases have been showing me one of the most reliable functionality ever! aka OC'ing. not only that, they look awesome too =)

He was talking about the colorcases over here and here (not Antec).

Hi, sorry for not cheking the posbefore. You can get the cases from:

Cool Case

And you are better getting a better ps than the one from amamax. They havea ps (amamax) that is a 350 W ps AMD and P4 aproved from $26 Plus shipping. I called them and the 300w ps that they include is not AMD aproved so beware if you get it from them. digitally-unique has been a good company for me. I will be getting my case this week I am still deciding between the 350w PS or the 420W PS to go with the case

This is a great case. The snap in fan feature is great when your playing around with those all the time. There is a place in front of the HD cage for a fan, this will extend the life of your hard drives. It cools pretty well. The case temperature is about 2º's F above room temperature with 4 case fans. (3 given + 1 extra). With the sk6 i have my amd 1700 at 33º C idle. The Hard drive and cd rom cages are easily removed when you flip a lever on them. its extremely convienent not to have to unscrew them at all. The looks are great. I have the black one and the best aspect of it is how it looks. The lock's are nice but useless because anybody that really want's to get it can break the super glue that is holding them on. The side panel is easily removed & put back on. This is a 32lb beast w/ power supply so it's not something you would prefer to be moving around a lot. The 340W PS is absolutely fine. I have amd 1700, 4 case fans, one 7k rpm cpu fan. 3 HD's, 2 CD roms. and it runs with no hiccups. I'd suggest this case to anybody

Remember folks... form is supposed to follow function. Make sure the specs on those "cool looking cases" meet your needs. The only case I have that I'm not entirely happy with is the old Alienware case (pre-Cheng Ming/Antec variety) with the hydraulic door. It sure looks cool, but it doesn't have very good "cooling" abilities as it's airflow isn't the best.

As for the Chen Ming/Antec/Enermax, I have 2 of the 1000 series (1 beige and 1 charcoal). They are sweet. It's really a tough choice between them and my Lian Li. Lian Li has more features, but the Chen Ming's are pretty sweet for a fair amount less money.

So where's the best to pick up a black SX1040 or equivalent Enermax/Chieftech/whatever case?

It looks like EMS has one of the best deals- the SX1040 is like $140 shipped.

Is the Antec PS that bad? I can go to Newegg and get the Chieftech case with a different PS...
