Kicked to the couch...snoring remedies

I was booted to the couch at about 2:45 AM last night for snoring. Wife complains most mornings that my snoring wakes her up.

Anyone successfully use an over-the-counter remedy to mitigate snoring?

Nothing OTC but you may want to ask your doctor about a sleep study. If you have apnea you may benefit from CPAP therapy.

I had the same problem....

doctor told me it could be because my nasal passage was not lubricant enough.

It works about 99% of the time now.

breath rite strips. But I would check for apnea. Do you wake up tired at all even after a normal nights sleep?

Apnea is a bitch because CPAP is very fucking annoying.

Not overweight and usually feel like I sleep well. I generally sleep 7-8 hours a night during the week, on a regular schedule.

I typically use a saline spray before bed every night specifically to lubricate nasal passages. Drink plenty of water through the day, including about 2 glasses within 30min-1 hour of going to bed.

I will give the breath-rite strips a try as the are easy to acquire. Anyone ever try that mouth guard thing I see on infomercials?

CPAP will work but they can also be a pain. I gave up mine because the pressure setting would cause my chest to hurt and I would only use it half the night as a result

Losing weight is the best answer in multiple ways.

Mouth guard is a fraud. It will not keep your throat lubricated and/or keep your tongue forward.

Do not use saline spray, It makes things worse in the long run.

I snore really loud but my wife sleeps through it. I suggest changing wives.
