how much humidity, either I dont see if on that pictar, or it just istn there

That was just a general statement. Over the next few days, it looks like it ranges from 50%-80%, with 65%-70% being about average.

Edit:
I've also had people from Montana say it feels cold(!) here in the winter due to the humidity. I can't compare; I've never been west of the Appalachians, but it makes sense to me. I don't mind cool/cold and wet, but I f'n hate it in the heat.

Maybe not today, it will be tomorrow though. It's always humid here. I could count the days on 1 hand where it feels good in the summer time.
California has had some awesome weather lately

Not too hot, hardly any humidity... but sunny and warm enough to swim or otherwise drink alcohol outside

I will say in defense of MD weather that last summer rocked. I used my A/C for 1 week the whole summer. I can't ever remember a summer as mild as last year.

Isn't it amusing that all winter long, people in the sunny climates brag about how bad we have it in NY & how nice it is there? Given a choice - 3 months of freezing temperatures, or 3 months of high humidity/high heat index. I'll chose the former. At least you can bundle up and still be comfortable outside.

I will always choose the latter. I love hot dry weather, its just right for sitting in the pool and drinking cold beer.

85 And severe thunderstorms for me, sigh.

There's been severe T-storms like twice this month where the tornado alarms have went off, and there were some trees got knocked down.

AFAIK there's never been really any tornados around here actually formed, and within the last month I've gotten two. Fail.

Plus my damn power may go out again, or we could get hail, god, tonight will blow.

I wonder if I have an AC adapter and car battery so I can plug in my modem and use my laptop! :awe:

Humidity or not, at least you have a reprieve with 80 degrees

I guess you have to keep my perspective in mind. I consider a state like Florida uninhabitable, and not conducive to human life. It might as well be Mars from my point of view :^D When you get the inhabitable states, MD is on the lower side of ideal. If I were migrating from Europe, I'd have stopped moving much higher north :^D

Sickeningly humid here in London, ON.. I'm staying indoors today. I was gonna work on my car some more, but forget it. It was sticky enough yesterday.. Worse today.

Yep, we keep getting all the damn "there are warnings in your area" blips, and looks like quite a bit of shit is up there north of the OH-MI border. Sucks for you.

And for all the humidity whiners - do realize your "100%" is more like 50%. 90s and 50% humidity sucks something turrible. That's Toledo right now.
If it really ever creeps above 80%, it's typically because there's rain falling.
Between 30% and 40% is when it's most comfortable. Above 70% is so terribly bad, people with lung problems tend to drop dead.

Why choose one? Why not avoid both?

There are places where the winter is cool but not cold and the summer is warm but not hot.

All you freaks that live where it's cold and snowy in the winter or boiling hot in the summer are out of your gourds.

I like winter, but unfortunately the cold and snow isn't very conducive to my primary modes of transportation (foot and bike). I wish it could just be ~65F all year long.

After listening to the news a few days ago about temperatures rising as high as 130 in Iraq and the fact that our troops have to wear full gear though that stuff, I have little sympathy.D:

When it's that hot without AC, even a breeze will "dry roast" you.

I have a picture of my brother standing next to a thermometer in Iraq. It was one of those dial thermometers, and the numbers went up to 120 degrees. The needle was way past that mark. He said it was 140 degrees that day.

He told me that since it's so dry, as long as you stay indoors and drink a lot of water it's pretty manageable, and the good thing is that they were almost never raided when it got that hot, combat pretty much came to a stop. Also, since it's the desert it gets very cold at night. Must be bizarre.

Last I heard, 104 for tomorrow...then cooling to 101 on Tuesday.

Fortunately for us, 15-20% relative humidity in the summer is extreme...

It's gonna be butt-burning hot, but at least it's a dry heat.

Other than to go out for a smoke from time to time, I ain't leaving the AC today.

Didn't get quite as hot here as they were forecasting. 100F earlier...now down to 99.
Humidty was higher than expected though...25% relative humidity is a bit more than normal for us when it's hot.

Still forecasting 104 for tomorrow.
