Killer deal on an GTX 780 Ti Classified

Local seller. BNIB GTX 780 Ti Classified (with shrink and unbroken seals). 500 CAD. Really happy. I was about to post another R9-290 TRI-X or GTX 780 FTW/Classified, and stumbled upon this one. Couldn't believe it was happening. Checked the box, the serial # (still 1055 days on warranty), opened to see there was not clay in it like some recent Apple products... Now it's up and running.

Thanks. He received it as a gift from a friend, and they had a bad "breakup". He just wanted it gone. Said he knew he underpriced it when he received 60 replies to his add in 2 hours but he didn't care.
It was on Kijiji Toronto.

It happens often. Sometimes people want the money ASAP and don't want to wait for negotiations and nit picking. I grab all my parts off people who want them gone asap, and I rush over and pick it up before anyone grabs it. I got a gtx 770 windforce for $270, sold that bitch promptly for $340.

I believe that that generally means that the chip can overclock better but will consume more power at stock.

The funny thing is I sold my 7970 because I found someone on Kijiji that was selling a GTX 780 FTW for $500. I was on my way to see him when he emailed me and said that he sold it for $570. That was a month ago. Had been using only my laptop for this whole time (my onboard - i5 3570K and Catleap monitor don't play nicely together). Had another guy trying to sell a GTX 780 SC (wanted $575). I just waited, hoping the R9 290 prices will become sane again... Guess it paid off waiting for so long.

The cheapest I found was around 830 CAD (with price matching and best price guaranty).
Plus tax (13%). So the price with HST would have been $935. Cheapest.

$450 US (or $500 Canadian) is what I had paid for my previous Gigabyte GTX770 4GB.

(I'm now running a Gigabyte GTX780 3GB.)

So, a little update...
I had issues OCing the card, and tried the new BIOS EVGA was giving by request. That caused even more instability, and the card would crash even in stock. I contacted the guy from EVGA who sent me the BOIS (his name is Chris), and he was extremely helpful. He immediately said that the card was faulty.
When I asked if I need the receipt for a regular RMA or should I just use the guest RMA, he didn't reply for a couple of days, and then just issued an RMA request, and an authorization immediately followed, and he also sent an email saying a pre-paid shipping label will be sent. I just got the shipping label, and will ship the card in the next few days. Will let you know how the new card is when I get it.
All in all, this has been pretty awesome. This is my second ever EVGA card, but I'm pretty sure it won't be my last (when going with team green anyway).

If only Kingston made Video cards. Man, they pay for everything during RMA process, and they dont ask for proof of anything.

RMA shipping is a PITA for me (east coast to Cali)... I pretty much end up paying close to 20 bucks for any RMA. So a company that pays for RMA shipping is definitely going to get and keep my future business.
