Just signed up for e247.com email. Have to say it blows away hotmail and the other services. You can send 25 meg files here, stream music from your email...etc....

I wouldn't really classify this as a hot deal but I will admit to having checked it out. I didn't sign up though. My question is can you pop the email. This is the one thing that Yahoo has over most of the others.

Not sure about the pop mail thing. It doesn't say. It does give you a 100MB inbox. They talk about being able to swap files with friends too. Sounds like song files could be passed easily with the 25MB send/receive function. My only question is are they reliable? I've never heard of them...

Anyway...I like the site so far. It's your better than average e-mail service in my opinion. Pretty quick loading and I'm on 56K. The setup looks alot like Outlook. Just thought I would throw my opinion out there. Have a good one gentlemen.

Pop, definite plus to Yahoo, but I have also found that the speed of going through messages, etc is tons faster.

If you want to POP your email as well, don't forget about [l]www.eudoramail.com[/l]. Since I'm a die-hard Eudora Pro user, I find their web based version very nice to use. Also it seems to be down a lot less than other services...

Yep. Yahoo does have an SMTP server... if you have a client... I can't remember the port, it's defaiult and the server is smtp.mail.yahoo.com When you access the pop server it validates you, so no login is required.

what's up with yahoo's smtp server...i can't seem to send mail with outlook express..i get this error:
