why in the world do you need 50 rechargeable batteries? isn't the point of having rechargeables is that you don't need buy so many batteries? good deal though, if i had that many devices that needed so many batteries i would be all over this.

That's a lot of batteries 50 of them..now I guess I need more remote controllers and cordless stuff.

It depends on which Rayovac you're talkng about....the 8 hour one or the fast 1 hour one. I have the 8 hour charger. I have enough batteries that I don't need the speed of the fast one hour one. Also, according to Rayovac, the 8 hour charger will allow the battery to be recharged approx. 1000 times. The fast charger will cut the life to approx. 500 times. So depending on how fast you need em recharged........
also , at Target, the 8 hour one is about 10 bucks and the 1 hour charger is about $25-$30 I think.

The 8 hour one is great and will charge each of the 4 batteries seperately, unlike other nimh chargers, which require you to do it in pairs.


Also , I just read in the manual for my FujiFinepix digital camera that if you recharge nimh batteries several times when they are not fully discharged, they will suffer from the "memory problem" of not being able to be fully recharged. This is weird because I thought it was the Nicd's that suffered from this problem. Ie, having to be fully discharged then recharged. I thought Nimh, can be discharged in any amount and recharged to full capacity.......Any one else have the word on this?

One thing I noticed is these (and the panasonics I got) are 1.2 volts, and the AC/DC power adapter for my camera is 3 volts. Anyone know how much difference 2.4 volts versus 3 volts means to a fuji finepix 2600z?
