The price looks great. I just checked them out at resellerratings.com and some people like them a lot and some hate them. Of 8 or so reviews over the last 2 years, at least two (one in the last month) complained that they were charged excessive shipping and that the online ordering system doesn't inform the buyer of the shipping costs. Looks kinda iffy.Originally posted by: chuenl
I was studying a Duracell NiMH deal at MCM Electronics.
They have 1800mah AA for $0.89 each and 750mah AAA at $0.79 each. From people who had ordered, the shipping is almost as cheap as this BYDUSA deal.
What do you guys think ?

They have free shipping for orders over $50, and there is a coupon "10% off any order of $100.00+" somewhere in their website.

Was trying to find the 10% off $100+ but cannot find it on their site. Can you help me? TIA

There's no arguing with that. They must be screwy. They undoubtedly take continual flack for that. Still, the price for 1800 mah AAs (Duracell, which I figure is probably better than the generic looking stuff at BYD) is relatively great. Even with $9.62 shipping a dozen batteries comes out to about the same as free shipping of a dozen from BYD. I think I'll order a dozen AA's from MCM and 10 tabbed C's from BYD. It's kind of a dozen here, a dozen there, but in this nutty world it still looks sensible.Originally posted by: Rsnider1961
Just received my order of 12 AAA Duracell and 16 AA Duracell NIMH batteries from MCM. Subtotal 22.44 - Shipping 9.62 for a total of 32.06. You don't know what the shipping charges are until after they ship - not good business practices IMO.
