this is about $9.00 more compared to the Centon at Compusa that is $60.00 per 512mb -$30.00 rebate, so $63.00 after rebate for 2 x 512mb ($3.00tax)
I am gonna retunr the 2 x 512mb i got from Compusa, and get this.
that fact that this is 1gb sticks instead of 2 x 512mb and there is no rebate, makes it more than worth paying $9.00 more per gb.
now i can have 2 x 1gb im my Asrock 775-VSTA rig instaed of only 2 x 512mb.

would there be any problems installing this in a dell that uses PC2-4200 RAM? Could i not just underclock the RAM? Its a Dimension 3100.

I know this is probably a dumb question, but I am not too familiar with DDR2. If I just want a simple HTPC based on the Abit NF-M2 nView and say an X2 3800+, and I want to run at stock speeds only, do I *need* PC6400 or is PC5300 the spec? Thanks! I am not sure when PC6400 is required -- only for OCing?
