According to a posting on SD it seems the only difference is the packaing, the 1GR is retail packaged, the other is classed more as oem packaging

Would this clock down to work on an older PC? This PC uses 2700 speed memory (an Asus 333 mothebroard). RAM rated at that speed seems more expensive then the new stuff....this would be a great deal if it will work and co-exist with the computer's existing memory.

has nothing to do with clocks in your instance. You need DDR ram, this thread is about DDR2 ram. They use totally different slot types.

I guarantee that these will run at DDR2 667

Now, I don't know if it will run at DDR2 800 specs. If I was a betting man, I would say it would not.

Worked for me.

My system recognized my 4 GiB as 3.25 GiB... At both the BIOS screen (~3.4 GB) and in the OS. From Googling, it seems the rest is allocated to PCI devices? Is that right?


(I hate calling it a GiB, but in this case it made sense )

Not that good, with 1:1 mem divider in most chipsets, @ put multiplier times 333 (6300 7x, 6400 8x, 6600 9x multi) 6600 will get 3ghz speed tho, not bad
