It's the KHX3200A/512 type with CL2 so I wonder if it's not a mispring but this looks like a super deal on very high quality memory that usually goes for around $140 elsewhere.

I bought this stick and got overnight deliver for a Saturday. Got the stick fine. But they sent me hyperx 256 mb! WTF...

Depends on how strict or what you consider a repost. Since other topic hasnt been updated and was a week old (ie last weeks sale not this weeks) I say its a new topic. But your titled to your own opinion, maybe if the OP of the other would update their thread regularly with updated prices/dates then maybe you could say repost but otherwise I think this post is fine. To be honest how many people are going to look at an outdated thread with an outdated price, every new post of a BFG 6800 could be called a repost cause it was on sale 3 months ago, but if the OP didnt update their thread to reflect its on sale again etc then it deserves a new thread, imo people are just too uptight and strict these days.

I've checked their website but they have no mention of price adjusting, I'd email them but their responses typically take 4 days or so for an answer. Since they don't mention it at all on their website I imagine though they don't offer it. Would be nice if they would though, Saturday I just ordered a cpu that dropped $10 today but I have a feeling they wouldnt refund the difference since its already been charged/shipped.

Ordered this weekend and received the KHX3200/512, not the KHX3200A/512. It has BH5 chips. Also ordered 4 of the 256 and they all had BH5 chips also. Items were shipped from Ohio warehouse.

Too bad they have a limit of one per household

Any word on if its truly A or not? IE A is CAS 2.....says in description on website but there are a couple of reports that the slower memory is being shipped instead....

Btw theres an easier way to tell if its BH-5 before voiding your warranty by removing the heatspreader, this came directly from corsair RAMGUY and I can link the their forums on the topic if needed to confirm.

Simply manually set cas to 3, BH-5 will only run at cas 2 or 2.5 it will refuse to boot/post at 3. Of course your gonna need to know where your cmos jumper is or how to remove the battery to clear cmos afterwards and go back into bios and reset it all up.

The tag on the spreader certainly say KHX3200/512. I'll try to test setting CAS to 3 to see if this trick works.

Outpost quotes CAS 2-3-2-6-1 (CAS Latency 2) SO I'm assuming it's a typo for 2-2-2-6.

Kingston quotes 2-3-2-6-1 for the A parts at 2.6V

They quote 2-2-2-5-1 at 2.7V for the 3200UL module.

Both are referred to as cas 2

I'm not saying its impossible and I got no reason to be jealous (if you really got it cheers I meant no ill will), I only want to let everybody know not to be disappointed if they get the cas 2.5 non-A version as someone else mentioned getting and how to test before people start voiding their warranties ripping off the spreaders. I am pretty lucky myself and have 2 sticks of mislabelled version 1.2 corsairs pc3200 that are bh-5 (confirmed by SPD specs as well as the RAMGUYs trick) so I know its possible to get lucky. Of course mine was purchased in May 2003 before Bh-5 was removed from the market and replaced with ch-5 which by the way is where the SPD for 2-3-2-6 comes from and was used immediately after bh-5 went unavailable.

Edit: In response to why anyone would lie about it, people say all kinds of things to make people jealous and just get their kicks getting people going crazy and knowing they arent going to get what they was hoping for, all I can say is ask the sick twisted people that think its funny why they do it then maybe the rest of us normal people would know the reason.
