i almost ordered to but my skepticism wouldn't let me do it. unless someone can post some picks, and percentages are good that we'll get the bh-5. i don't think i'll take the risk. cause for 2 sticks w/shipping +tax. it seems a much better to get a gig of ocz 3200 plat. rev. 2 for about $280 and they are almost guaranteed great overclocks on both amd and intel systems.

I believe they are using the new Samsung on the 2-2-2-5 KHX3200UL model like corsair is using with their latest pc3200XL.

Those are the exact numbers on the 512 I received and they were BH5. Shipped from Ohio.

Where were yours shipped from?

I just spoke to a Kingston tech rep and he said that the A version replaced the non A version. The non A version was 2-2-2 by default. Too many people were having problems getting their system to boot since this chip had settings that were "a little too aggressive for most motherboards" as he put it. The A series which Kingston replaced the non A series with has settings of 2-3-2 by default so they would work with most motherboards w/o having to change the memory frequency settings. Does this make sense?

Mine show the same exact number but they're 2.6V insted of 2.5V. 2.6 V sounds in line with specs from Kingston so might be A version after all for me.

I'm in Ohio and it shipped from here too.

I figured this out the hard way with HyperX CL 2-2-2 which I bought a long time ago. My gigabyte 8knxp wouldnt boot into 2-2-2 timings So iahve ben running 2-3-2 ever since. Not really mad since I paid $75 each 512 a long time ago when this stuff was cheap.

I am a bit annoyed at the fact that this deal is limit 1... I only buy in pairs, like most people with dual channel boards. Kills the deal for me.

I have just compared this to my KHX3200K2/1G Non-A. Those are BH5 and so is the KHX3200/512 I got today from OP, same model number as my other kit. 9905-193-013.A01, the only diffrence is the 2.5V vs the other is 2.6V??? Anyone know why the Volt diff?

However, I was looking for the A version for my Gigabyte 875P *IK-1100 MB that does not like BH5 b/c it is too fast.

I pulled the info below from shop.kingston.com PDFs.

KHX3200K2/1G:
Power supply : Vdd: 2.6V ± 0.2V, Vddq: 2.6V ± 0.2V
Timing Reference: 2-2-2-6-1 at +2.6V

KHX3200/512:
Power supply : Vdd: 2.6V ± 0.2V, Vddq: 2.6V ± 0.2V
Timing Reference: 2-2-2-6-1 at +2.6V

KHX3200A/512:
Power supply : Vdd: 2.6V ± 0.2V, Vddq: 2.6V ± 0.2V
Timing Reference: 2-3-2-6-1 at +2.6V

So to sum things up...

1. They are shipping khx3200/512 not A or UL.
2. The A version 2-3-2 is the newer vesion of Khx3200/512 2-2-2 b/c of timing.
3. Are these Bh-5? looks like it

Bh5 chips people?

Can the timing on the non A sticks, ie those with 2-2-2 timing be changed to A stick settings of 2-3-2 via the MB Bios?

Hyper X has a high tolerance for overclocking and V up and down. Feel free to change your voltage anywhere from 2.5 to 2.7 is still under warranty.
