Hello,
I saw this deal and jumped on it,needed 1 gig of decent memory.

I ordered 1 512 stick on wendsday and another on thursday and they shipped me both so I got a gig of this stuff.

Both sticks are labeled as KHX 3200/512 and are rated at 2.6 volts.
I am too chicken to take the heat spreaders off but I have done some testing on 2 different motherboards.

Msi 875p-fisr motherboard they run 2-2-2-6 up too 235 fsb 1:1 at 2.8 volts
(board maxes out at that speed regardless of ram used)
spd is detected at 2-2-2-5 on this board
will not post if set to cas 3

ecs 848p-a rev 2 motherboard runs 2-2-2-6 up to 220 1:1 at 2.7 volts(max for this board)
spd is detected at 2.5-2-2-6 on this board
will not post if set to cas 3

I believe this stuff I got is bh-5.I have 2- 256 sticks of twinmos with bh-5 chips and they behave similarly

of course ymmv as the advertised product is different they may start shipping those.

Hope this helps

I'd love to grab one of these, but I need a stick that will play well with my Corsair XMS3000C2, which runs at 200+ MHz at 2-2-2-5-1 with 2.7v. I've tried several other sticks with it in my EPoX 8K5A2+, but they never seem to work well together.

Based on what I've read at Reseller Ratings, Outpost seems to have a really bad reputation, especially with returns. Has anyone had experience returning anything to them?

Might pick up 2 of these sticks since they do sound like BH-5 refurbs. If I get KHX3200A with CH-5 I will be terribly disappointed Too bad the local Fry's don't have these or I could just forgo all the shipping and handling.

Google a program called CPUZ

It'll show you a lot of your settings including cpu, mb, and mem.

Someone take of the heat spredders already and confirm if they're bh-5 or not. Your memory runs cooler without them anyway if you put a small fan on them which anyone that overclocks to high fsb does anyway =p

outpost rerurn policy seems pretty good, money back guarentee for 30 days, so if it is not bh-5, then return for a full refund, ninus maybe 5 or 10 dollars shipping.

It is but that's why I live in a dorm room and have a buddy next door also who was also interested in one =D But other people have reported it allowing them to order two.

I ran CPU-Z with my settings, I'm just not exactly sure what it means.

Also one of my chips says 2.6v with the kington logo, the other one just has the spreader with text and says 2.5v.

edit: realized the pictures are wrong i double posted slot3 rather than having one of slot1 as well. Stupid MSPaint.

Got my memory today. It really looks like it is used. It has alot of scratches on the back of the heat spreader and you can tell it has been installed before. They should state it as refurbished on the site. I have it running 2326 at 200 Mhz on my Asus A7N8X. I have it in slot 3 and a 512 mb Corsair in slot one. They are running dual channel together at those timings without any problems at all. My Corsair tops out at those timings, so I guess the Kingston is going to stay there.

SPD on CPUZ reports the Kingston as part number K serial number 4128AAF0 Week 33, Year 03 200 Mhz at 2226

Sandra reports it as 16x(32Mx8) PC3200U-222-550 CL2 up to 200 Mhz

Mine is going in a server in my office so once I install it I will probably never see it again. It would have been nice to receive a nice new stick though. But, it is rated higher than my Corsair

I'm running two of those at 2326 at 200 MHz as well because motherboard (soltek nF3 250 Gb) had some problems handling the auto setting (2226).

No problem with the memory at those setting so far and system is very stable. Pretty happy with purchase for that price.

for some reason I feel much safer ordering these refurb BH-5 sticks from Fry's than Compuvest
hint: Compuvest has like a 4 reseller rating lol

got mine, its 3200/512 (not A) so I am happy. Unfortunately my other stick limits my speed to 366 and my CAS to 2.5. Plus my cpu is already at its max.

and oh, mine seemed to be brand new.

I got one and ordered the 2nd one thru my dad and both came as KHX3200/512 so they are not "A"s. One looks pretty new and the other has a few small scratches. I did file a complaint with them yesterday and did not hear anything yet. But I am ok with this anyways but you all know that the website is FALSE! Seeing if they will do anything about it.

i almost got these but after tax and shipping. it would've only costed a little less than $80 to get the ocz pc3200 platinum rev.2a lot better ram it'll have resale value than the bh-5. if you guys look in the for sale forum there are tons of bh-5. so, i decided to hold off and wait till the ocz hits $250 before i jump. if you look at the reviews the ocz is what you want. just my 2 cents
