Hi guys,
I just recieved a Kingston Elite Pro SD 512mb version from newegg. I plugged it into my camera and started taking pictures. My camera saves the pictures fine and I am able to preview it within the camera. I have built-in card readers on my laptops. I take the SD card out and plug it into my card reader, but windows xp pro does not recognize the card at all. I know the card reader is working fine because I have their non pro version, the slower version and it works fine. I was just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. By the way, if i use the USB link cable for my camera and connect it to my computer, it works fine. It just does not seem to want to work with my laptops built in card reader. I have tried it on two different laptops (different brand and different model) and they both will not work with the elite pro, only with the original version.
I have called Kingston Tech support and they told me that because it works with the camera the card is fine. They want me to try it on an USB 2.0 external card reader. I don't own any external card readers because all of mine are built into my laptop.
Anyways, please post in here if you are having the same problem.
Thanks,
aznbomber
