I think this is a hot deal w/o needing a rebate.

Only question is that I heard all hyperx's weren't made with the same chips, and that some are better than others, true or no?

cpu-z tells the chip.

but i think its true. mine has the samsung and the hynix chip, anyways mine are 2 year old so i'm not sure if they still do that.

The spec sheet for this ram gives:

333MHz (PC2700) 2-2-2-5-1 (CAS Latency 2)
370MHz (PC3000) 2-2-2-6-1 (CAS Latency 2)
400MHz (PC3200) 2-3-2-6-1 (CAS Latency 2)
434MHz (PC3500) 2-3-3-7-1 (CAS Latency 2)
466MHz (PC3700) 3-4-4-8-1 (CAS Latency 3)
500MHz (PC4000) 3-4-4-8-1 (CAS Latency 3)

What does it matter what chips are used? It should perform as per spec, and if it doesn't, RMA it.

their pretty accurate and the two chips i have run at the same speed if you check out the memory fags from overclock forums.

i have mine at the 3-4-4-8-1 settings.

These use Winbond CH-5 chips. While not as good as the BH-5 chips they should do pretty well with some voltage. Good deal.
