Guys, I discovered the same thing by adding a second stick of DDR to my system. If you look at the specs it says the 222 settings are for a single stick of DDR. When you add another, those settings change (232, I believe). Apparently, there is added latency when using dual channel.

I'm currently using the PC2700 HyperX (222), still running 222, but at 160mhz, instead of 166mhz! Now, I want some PC3500, is this deal dead?

Yes it is. The relaxing of tRCD is the newest trick for manufacturers. It decreases performance and they are still able to advertise as low latency, which is not. Hypex is at least decent, probably Winbond BH-5 meaning you really have the same as HyperX PC3200. Corsair sells the same for more $$$.
I have Kingston "value ram" that has no heat spreaders but has Winbond BH-5 chips and it runs 2-2-2-6 on 200 MHz FSB with no problem in my NF7-S. Go figure.
Funny thing is that when you relax tRCD to 4 on Samsung TCB3 chips whether C or E revision they run at 250 MHz just like PC4000. And yet they are just PC2700. OCZ will charge you pretty penny for these. OCZ does erase the original Samsung markings and writes their own, apparently they are aware that some people would remove heat spreaders no matter how sticky the "thermal tape" is.

It's right there in the online weekly ad. Says $65-$16 MIR, but as you said it shows up as $149 even when added to your cart. I wish they would get their $hit straight!

I picked up two at my local BB. Watch out for the 2.6 Volt jobs. I've heard bad things about those. I found a pair of matching 2.5V sticks. Not a bad deal. Memory is going up and about to go through the roof. Get some now if you can. Yeah, the internet price is *&^%$* up. Even a day later it is still coming up at $149.... What a crock.

I suppose there is a possibility my board has a cow with anything above 200MHz, but from the reports I've seen, the NF7-S V2.0 has been consistently giving people around 220+MHz, provided they have good RAM. Weird.

the abit nfs7-s rev2.0 has a known problem with hyperx pc3500 when running in dual channel...check the official abit forums

FYI, the 256mb price has been fixed online and in stock for me. I just ordered one to go with the one I picked up today at the B&M (last one in stock). I know they wont' be perfect production mates but hopefully they play nice in my A7N8X.

Actually upon furthur investigation I found an article that stated that the 2.5 V versions were actually a misprint but I have yet to get any confirmation on this from anyone else.

I contacted Kingston about this and was told the following, "As for the two different
voltages, we chaged the labling because the JEDEC standard changed to 2.6v. There's a +/- .1v so there's no difference between the two."

I hope that helps someone!

So, are there any suggestions???
