Kingston HyperX 512mb PC4000 $109.00 after $20 MIR, Frys

Was instore this morning checking on the 9800 AIW deal, and came across the HyperX PC4000 512mb for $129.00 - $20 MIR=$109 (Arlington, Tx). This is a single chip, not the kit (2x256mb kit)

Went to my local BestBuy because they carry the same ram, they've got it priced at $199 ea. If this was an advertised price, I'd be all over the PM, however didn't feel like arguing with the BB drones and waiting 20 minutes for someone at Frys to pick up the phone to confirm the price.

Either way, it's a good deal. If you can get BB to PM the price, you'd get it a little cheaper. It's also available at outpost.com for $129.00, but no MIR showing there.

I was JUST looking at this. The Fry's sale IS in ad from Saturday, but I believe you would be better off getting it at Fry's instead of PM. For Bay Area go to Fry's Ad Prices good through Tuesday 10/21.

So, doing a little math:

$199 BestBuy
- 129 Fry's
=$70 difference (or $77 pricematch @ 110%)
=== $122 (No MIR at BestBuy or Kingston) at BestBuy

Also looking at this, there are tradeoffs in CAS for higher Mhz (especially from PC3500 to PC3700):
