This ram is definatley BH-5 which is extremely hard to get over the last 3-4 months since it was in such demand. The price is really awesome for this ram considering most places that have it are charging a premium for it. I bought a few sticks myself and once it comes in i might purchase a few more depending on how high i can get them to OC. The sticks really love volts. You can usually do 250fsb or more at 2-2-2-5. Thanks OP for the great Deal!

Oh you need to run this ram at 2.7V you need to change that. Even tho the ram says 2.6V for oc and stablitiy you need to run at 2.7V

There's some REALLY good Samsung chips out now that are taking away the top scores from bh5 these days and most of those run @ 2.6 - 2.7v where bh5 needs 3.0+. A few of those are the new G.Skill and OCZ 3200EL Rev. 2 Platinum Edition sticks but those are upwards of $270 where as this great deal is well worth my money. Once again OP thanks for the deal!

It is hard to believe this deal is still going. Some of the best RAM you can buy at a very good price. I am tempted to go back for two more sticks. No PM or MIR. BB and CC sell junk RAM at about the same price AR.

need 3.1V to be stable at 220 FSB 2.2.2.6 and 3.3V to be stable at 230 FSB 2.2.2.6. It gets really really hot once over 3.2V. So make sure put some fan over it.

anyone used these in the msi neo2 plat s939 board? unfortunately the voltage on that board only goes to 2,8v, so im wondering if purchasing this ram is pointless, as it seems 3V+ is the sweet spot for this stuff. any stories?

What if you set your volts to too high? Is there a limit to normal, non BH-5 ram, and is there any side-effects of such a high voltage?

(What would happen if you put 3.3 or whatnot on like, Corsair ram?)

Heh, I know it's sort of off topic, but that seems like a lot of volts to me.

True, I tested the bh5's in my main Vapo LS rig, but my Crucial Ballistix 3200 are back in there. I can out score My BH5's with them with less vots, and then if i want to play the high fsb game then these will doe 290 1:1 no problem!!!!

Sounded like in the 512 MB thread people were getting BH-5 ram, no one wants to confirm it though, so i doubt it's true. Too bad, because i wanted the 512 stick, instead of 2 256 sticks.

Hi,

I ordered 1 512 stick on wendsday and another on thursday and they shipped me both so I got a gig of this stuff.

Both sticks are labeled as KHX 3200/512 and are rated at 2.6 volts.
I am too chicken to take the heat spreaders off but I have done some testing on 2 different motherboards.

Msi 875p-fisr motherboard they run 2-2-2-6 up too 235 fsb 1:1 at 2.8 volts
(board maxes out at that speed regardless of ram used)
spd is detected at 2-2-2-5 on this board
will not post if set to cas 3

ecs 848p-a rev 2 motherboard runs 2-2-2-6 up to 220 1:1 at 2.7 volts(max for this board)
spd is detected at 2.5-2-2-6 on this board
will not post if set to cas 3

I believe this stuff I got is bh-5.I have 2- 256 sticks of twinmos with bh-5 chips and they behave similarly

of course ymmv as the advertised product is different they may start shipping those.

Hope this helps

I just ordered them 24 hours appart and they shipped both.

If you want 2x512 try ordering them 24 hours appart.

I got mine today ... don't want to take the heat spreaders off but I did notice that the two modules had different markings.

First one: KHX3200/256 9905192-012.A01 1266690-2.6V
Second : KHX3200/256 9905192-012.A01 1156022-2.5V

What do the different voltages mean?

I have another order for 2 sticks "in process" right now and it's been that way for almost 2 days now. On xtremesystems a lot of ppl are being "back ordered" status. I might have to cancel my order cause i definately don't wanna get some non bh-5 sticks.

Update: After almost 3 days of my order on the site stating in process i finally called up outpost and the guy has NO record of my order yet i have the order on the webpage for tracking/viewing and the email confirmation number sent to me. He then explains that the stuff is on backorder now and would i still like to purchase more. What a bunch of bs! Once they get it back in stock you can bet it won't be the bh-5 sticks =/ That's the last time i order from Outpost.

yeah, they ran out of bh-5 due to extremely high demand, so yeah you should never order from them again:roll:

i just got mine this morning... one of them is definitely BH-5, the other, i cant tell, as the retaining clips just do NOT want to come off. however, this one looks 'newer' than the one i identified. this one has a higher number on the sticker, and the design on the heatspreader is different. for now, i will 'assume' this is BH-5 until i can tell otherwise. pretty sweet. sorry about all the people that didnt get in on this.

EDIT - Make that BH-5 all around. sweet.
