I searched, and found similar older deals for around $150. I think the deal started today.

$200-$88 Instant rebate-$12mail in rebate=$100
Even without the mail in rebate...it's still a pretty hot deal for $112 + tax out the door. I think Kingston website sells these for $155. Newegg does sell these for $155.

I just pm'd these at CC and got them for 107.98 out the door. Plus they have a $10 MIR available, bringing down the price to $97.98 not including tax.

I'm very interested in these. I may have to go pick these up tomorrow first thing. (Boy, is the credit card ever getting a workout, considering the OM <$20 laser printer, the 100 packs of DVDs, etc)

Get this RAM if you are planning a overclock aroung 25-260FSB and plan to clock the RAM at 1:1. Otherwise using a 5:4 divider you can get away with a PC3500 and run it at tighter timings (2-6-3-3 or 2-6-2-2) and have a better 'benchmark' score

I don't think the higher kingston is any better than the pc3200. I think all they really do is relax timings. now if it were pc4000 at cas 2 that would be something

It looks like a hot deal. I am bluiding up my computer right now. My friend told me that Corsair XMS PC4000 DDR 500MHz would be a good choice. It's seemed to hot deal. So I would like someone to tell me whicho one is better? I am not good at over clocking. Thank you for helping in advance!

They are the exact same thing. Of course, this stuff will NOT clock as high as good 3500 ram, but that is another story (since this ram is the same as 3200/3500, with MUCH slower timings)....

I was thinking about getting this ram but am a bit concerned after seeign Anands tests results see the article

do the last place finishes in the tests mean very much especially if you are not overclocking?

What's the point of getting that RAM if you're not even overclocking?

I would assume that this is a good ram to go with when running an intel rig, but AMD users might want to look for something with tighter timings. As a rule of thumb, tighter timings mean more than higher speed on an AMD rig, and reverse on an intel system. Or at least thats how it was a few months back, dont think things have changed.

Personally i'm having a hard time not jumping all over this even though I have an amd system, the price is right.

Almost all of the pc4000 ram on newegg has the same timings as this. Including the OCZ and Corsair XMS stuff. I fail to see how this is any slower than any other brand.

1gb of this stuff is working great in my amd64 rig.

Believe or not
I test this memory with AMD 64 3000+/Gigabyte nforce3 . Score 3050 with sisoftware at cpu 200mhz fsb/ 200MHz memory clock. And I test with value ram PC2700 with hynix chip score 2990 with sisoftware at cpu 220mhz fsb/ 189MHz memory clock
So I try to test Hyperx ram at cpu 210mhz fsb/ 210MHz memory . My system is hang up
So I decide to keep the value ram ( $50 after rebate) and return the Hyperx

I tried to increase +0.1 meaning 2.6 volt . No Luck . I believe if I increase to 2.7 volt may work . But What do I gaine for 10mhz increase? the score may go 3300 point , not a big jump go like 5000 points . The reason I buy this ram because I saw the sisoftware score for AMD 64 like 5000+ point on the comparation chart . After the test I'm so nervous about the sisoftware test . I don't know where those number come from??? I just test the system with PC3200 Micron chip from fry's . Score around 3000+ same as Hyperx memorystick . Base on this information I believe other ram like corsair may have a same test score . Now May question is where are the proof of sisofware test score for AMD 64 on their chart ??? They must clarify their score

Thanks

I test with sisoftware 2004 download from cnet.com . The test is memory bandwith benchmark . After test is will show your system score compare with other 4 systems. If you click on any box . It will show some more system . Click on Nvidia nforce 3 PC3200 ( go upper). Score is 5400 points
I got exact system nforce3 chipset , pc3200 ( and some test with Hyperx PC4000) . My score never above 3500+ points
. I don't know who I should salut with my middle fing.....[]

Don't mean to sound stupid, but are you running in dual channel mode?
