Thanks for the heads up, I just bought one to replace a really crappy refurb 300-watt Ultra Power mixer (which they still have for $99) that I'll have to send back.

The 300-watt came with everything in the pic - bowl and attachments, so I would guess that this one will as well. The 300-watt had an awful grinding sound coming from the motor in the back and not all speeds worked or were consistent. Hopefully I don't get hosed on this one - you get a warranty though, and I've heard that KitchenAid is excellent about replacing them.

Kitchenaid mixers are one of those high end appliances for the kitchen. I've been eyeing a Kitchenaid stand mixer for about 5 years, but never wanted to part with $300. The cheapo mixers run about $50 so $100 for a Kitchenaid is a good deal even if it is a refurb.

The one we received appears brand-new -- works perfect and no scratches or marks of any kind.

It should come with one bowl, a bread kneading hook, an egg whip for merangue and a standard paddle for cakes and stuff. We have had one of these for a long time and they are awsome. I waited to ask my wife whether she still wanted to get one for her parents, to which she gave a very adamant "YES". Went back to Amazon to order, and they are now gone. Oops. now I am in trouble.

It is still a good price, but so hard to pull the trigger when the much better model ($100 more retail) was just the same price!

Personally I like the lift better than the tilt. It's a small difference that probably wont make a big difference to most (some might even like it better).

Actually we paid less. Amazon had it for the same price about 6-8 weeks ago, but also had a $10 coupon then. We considered buying one for about $160 last year, but decided to wait -- at $89 it was a no-brainer.

And the mixer works great -- I finally got my wife to make homemade cookies instead of the Pillsbury batter, and she admitted they were much better.
