I actually saw these in the flyer Sunday. Didn't order them on-line until this morning. Went over and picked them up at lunch. Took the sales guy forever to find 'em in back.

I'm no audiophile but for $20 out the door you can't beat these with a stick. Great for the bedroom system.

LUCKILY I also did in-store pickup yesterday and snagged a pair (which by the way they had NOT pulled from the floor before I got there, so I could have paid online for pickup, gotten there and they'd have been out... sad sad.. that's why I hate going to the store!).

I wanted another pair and was hoping they'd fill the one online. So help me if they're magically "back in stock" next week. Local store is now OOS.

They cancelled my Rio SP50 player back in November as well ($20 after rebates) even though I ordered about 2 days before it no longer could be ordered online. They seem to be getting like Staples!

Whoa...I hope my order doesn't get cancelled! I just checked the status of mine and they show as being "on order". I'm starting to wonder if I should just do a store pickup now...

Has this happened to anyone else yet?

Wolverine - do you live near a BB? Why not just go there and grab one if they're available? You could always return it if the online order actually goes through.

Cuz I'm lazy! It's freezing here in Ohio and I don't feel like being out in the cold...ha ha.

Anyway, you have a good point, I probably should just do an in store pick up to be safe...now that I'm hearing someone got their order cancelled. I considered doing an in store pick up this morning...but decided to wait. I've got 3 Best Buys within driving distance...unfortunately due to my procrastination and laziness, the only one now showing any in stock is the farthest away. My 10 minute drive has now turned into a 30 minute drive...oh well...serves me right!

I bought the 5.1 surround package and built my own wall mountings for them but adapted them so that anyone who bought these can build them too.

Itwould be very easy and cheap to mounts yours too. Damn why didn't I think of this before I ordered mine. Anyhow go to home depot. They sell these corner braces. They are next to shelving braces. Get 2 (get the larger ones to support the speakers) of them for each speaker. Then guy dry wall anchors (they have 30 lb and 50 lb load bearing ones). YOu probably need to buy washers since the screws will probably be smaller than the holes inthe braces; that or you could buy a metal drill bit and drill your own holes where you want. Then buy some metal paint to paint the brackets to match the walls. Then mount them up and put the speaker on the brackets. The only thing you really need to worry about is make sure that the braces you mount are level (you don't want the speaker falling to the floor). If you want to make it look better you can cut some wood, stain it and screw them to the top of your mounting braces and put your speaker on top. You can build 5 for probably under 15 dollars. Good luck.

I'm just laughing how when I originally posted this the first time aruond on here and FW all I got was talk about how crappy they are and how useless a deal it was. Comes around a second time and suddenly it's in the top 3 hottest items on either boards I'm beginning to think you people don't like me :frown:

I think a lot of people just hate KLH. I'm not sure where it comes from, hatred for Bose I can understand, but KLH is hard to beat for the price.

Hey lzpoof,

People can argue til the end of time when it comes to who's better than who in audio and home theater. Personally, I think these are a great deal. For $10 a speaker it's near impossible to go wrong. No one buying these should be expecting top notch audiophile quality. These are great for a second system, bedroom system, or a budget entry level home theater setup. Thanks for the deal. Mine are on order...but I can't wait to get 'em. I'm using these for a home theater setup in my bedroom.

Agreed. A self-proclaimed "audiophile" I know who constantly criticizes KLH was in my apartment just today. I had the grilles off the speakers, and, in combination wtih my Pioneer D711 receiver, he actually said "those Yamaha bookshelf speakers sound really great." I didn't have the heart to tell him the speakers were KLH and $20 a pair... although I probably should've.

Anyway, let the audiophiles spend thousands of dollars on their equipment... The world of dating takes enough of my money as it is

I've noticed my 2 speakers actually sound slightly different. I sent the same signal to each and flipped back and forth between them, and one was audibly "brighter" than the other. I verified sound was coming from each tweeter and the mid- and low-range drivers. Kinda weird.

Overall I'm definitely happy for $20, though.

mine sound fine together, did you change all the wiring and such? change them around from left to right?

but yeah 20 bucks for them is great

They don't sound "bad" together, necessarily, just slightly different. I'm sure I had them wired correctly to test them out. It's really not a big deal, just something I noticed.

It's very nice having 5.1 sound in my bedroom now. These are just what I needed 'cause I didn't want to spend a lot - the living room HT has already sapped my wallet enough!

BB has been playing quite a game with supplying these speakers for pending/backorders from when they were on sale a couple of weeks ago. After sitting 'pending' for 2 weeks (for pickup at local stores), my 2 orders were 'cancelled' yesterday. I immediately went to BB.com and found them available for pickup at the same locations from which my orders were cancelled. Only now, the price is up to $70+ per pair.

So, I ordered 'em online for pickup at the same stores....bingo....today I get the "confirmation" email that they are available for pickup.

Well, CSR is gonna get a call to match the original sale price since they were cancelled/re-ordered the same day. If that doesn't work....I have an actual raincheck from the store that my order is waiting at. I'll get 'em at $20 a pair one way or the other
