KLH DVD/VCD/MP3/WMA Player - $29.99 Best Buy B&M

Why wait until Black Friday and fight the huge lines of people? Best Buy B&M (not online) currently has the KLH DVD Player Model KD1220 for $29.99. No Rebates, PM, etc. etc.

I've owned this player for about 5 months and it has performed flawlessly. The added bonus on this player is it has Component, Coaxial Digital Output, AND Optical Digital Output (most inexpensive players cut costs by leaving off the Component and Optical Digital Output, like the Norcent DP-300 on sale for the same price after rebate at Amazon.com).

It plays DVD/VCD/MP3/JPEG/WMA. It does not plays SVCD (which is ok by me because I gave up on it months ago since the price of DVD Burners dropped considerably). It is also not Region or Macrovision Hackable (again, my DVD Burner took care of worrying about that anymore). Speaking of which, it plays the DVD-R's and DVD+R's I have made flawlessly.

I also like the fact that the DVD Tray & Bezel both come out when you eject the tray. Most cheap DVD Players have a little lid that flops down, then the tray comes out. I always equate that with cheap (just a personal thing).

The Best Buy in Pasadena, CA had about 30 of them in their overstock area above the Television sets. I saw the display model and the $29.99 price tag, but none were on the shelf. So if you look around, you may still find them in your local store.

Good luck! It's a good deal if you can find one. Then you'll have time to run for other deals when the doors open on Black Friday.

You won't find these for sale in many stores though, it's in a "hold all for" you know what day So any stock that is in the store they can't sell in order to meet the minimum ad quantity.

since this deal is about to change, would like to ask the op for an opinion about the panasonic 35s that's on clr for $59.99 ar @ same chain
i thought it was purty, but i already paid $100 last year for the 26k clr from tgt, it's alright, but i wanna drink on some region free now

Wow, delayed reaction on my part. The Panasonic 35s is a great DVD Player. It's high quality and plays everything that the KLH does. Aside from being bigger and having an LCD, they are however on par.

The KLH you saw that is apparently defective must be from customer abuse. I would definately trust it (as mine has been working great for many months now..and I use it all of the time.

There is a newer Panasonic model out now to replace the 35s. I don't know the model number, but after looking it over I decided it was probably a cheap Sylvania/Emerson clone with the Panasonic name slapped on to it. I would get the KLH over this new Panasonic model.
