The Klipsch 4.1 system is selling for $139.95 @ weirdstuff.com. Shipping came to $16.35, bringing the total cost to $156.30 for a retail pair of speakers. This is a good deal for those who were thinking of buying the refurb ones direct from Klipsch for ~ $170 after shipping and tax.

Klipsch speakers for the past three years have been some of the best computer speakers that can be bought. They were a step above the Creative Labs, and other offerings that you saw in most computer magazines. These are great sounding speakers.

Another nod for these speakers. I got them during the Holidays when MSN was running their promotion & CC had a $50 rebate plus free shipping. Paid around $110. Have them hooked up to a TBSC card & love 'em!

Yes, its like saying that you dont know which to choose, a civic or a porsche if their price difference is VERY minimal, like this case.

Or you could dump the klipschs, get a real reciever and tight speakers and call it a day....

Still a hell of a geal for computer speakers...still I had to switch because the klipschs lack of midrange was a problem...trust me for comp. speakers most won't notice...


I did...and now I never looked back.


I'll tell you one thing. I suprised my dad by replacing his miny BostonAcounstics Gateway-speakers with these Klipschs....lets say he grinded so bad it was harboring around evil...

Yes sir, I live in the Bay Area and that's where many of these stores are located. Mind you, most of the stuff in their stores are ancient computer products but they are reputable and always have good deals.

I have both the Klipsch 4.1s and the Z560s and the Klipsch have a much tighter and cleaner sound. They both have awesome bass, but the Klipsch are on my main system, and the Z560s on my backup.

logitech? pftt. i don't think so. Logitech vs Klipsch is like nVidia vs ATI. The first has raw power, the 2nd has finesse.

I am using the very first Klipsch pc speakers to come out.

Klipsh's sound clean. They may have less building-shaking power than the logitech, but I personally wouldn't want that power anyway. Music is not all about raw bass.

the Klipsch have tweeters. the logitech's don't. this is one of the reasons why the klipsch sounds better.

also, klipsch has many many many years of high-end home audio speaker-building experience. They know their sh!t.

What are you guys talking about? $31 for shipping is a lot, but it's still a good deal. These are really good speakers, I have the old Klipsch v2-400's with the upgraded pre-amplifier and they are awesome. These are just like mine except somewhat updated and better in some ways. $170 at Klipsch for refurbished ones is a good price already (half off I believe?), $170 for the same speakers new is great!
