I dont know if this is the right place to post a topic about speakers, but the doesnt seem to be any dedicated sound/speakers topic so here it goes.
I have a set of creative DTT2200 speakers...and what can I say, I don't really like them much (they sound just like my old 2.1 altec lansing set). So, I was thinking about getting a Klipsch promedia 2.1 set, which has much more power and sounds much more crisp, but yes, they only offer 2.1 channel sound.
Notes: This is a gaming/music PC, running a SB Live! 5.1...with the speakers fairly close together (the rear speakers are still infront of me, only at the top), i don't have enough money for the 4.1 or uber 5.1 Klipsch sets.
So, if you were in my position would you go for the Klipsch 2.1 set? Or is 5.1 sound too important? Do you think 5.1 sound will be important for gaming anytime soon, or will a more powerful and crisp 2.1 system be much better?
