The picture at PlanetMinidisc looks like the old ones....three dials.. no power switch or jacks

I am just saying.

I want some just as bad as everyone.

Well for one.. the pod is different. It now has a on/off switch and two jacks one for connecting a minijack (cd/radio whatever) and a headphone jack for private listening. As far as the crossover goes.. its not as muddy in the midrange the sub passover is set lower so more of the mids comethru and just bass goes to sub. I noticed a sound quality difference when I first used them. Don't get me wrong the v2.400 are REAL NICE.. these 4.1 just tweak em even better!!

Unfortunatly guys emscomputing isnt going to be offering them anymore at this price, they only had 20 units that they were able to price at this low price, klipsch has ordered all resellers to keep there price at 299 until they say otherwize while its still new. I was lucky and got one of only 20 units that they had at the 228 price.

Looks like EMS isn't gonna offer them at all. They disappeared from the site. Klipsch must have whacked their rear real good for having the nerve to offer a good value. Speakers should never be sold for list price. I used to sell audio gear and speakers had the biggest margins. could cost a dealer $200 for a pair with a "list" price of $450-500. Perhaps the computer speakers don't have quite the markup, but this is a "premium" brand with limited distribution, and Klipsch is policing the prices real good.

Actually they are going to be carrying them, they just took them off the webpage because technically they weren't supposed to be selling them when they were, and once they get through all of the paperwork that klipsch has sent them as far as a minimum retail price and gets a new shipment of them, then they will put it back on the site. Until then they thought it better to take it off the site until everything is sorted out.

mrwade, I also sold audio and speakers had a much more modest markup then say phono cartridges. "House brand" speakers could be marked up as you stated, but name brands generally were marked up 40%

Actually, the salespeople got the best deals - 1/2 off on "accomodation" - how do you think I could afford LaScalas?

BigDaddy has used these for last (3) months. Nothing but good things to say about sound quality, go for it.

the one's at outpost.com are not the same one's, they are last year's model, the v2-400 these are a new model called the 4.1, and bigdaddy, unless you work for klipsch I doubt you have had these for 3 months considering they just released them last week.

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but since I haven't looked at the specs I'm not sure. Are the sats from the new 4.1 speakers, the same as in the quintet series?

Nope I emailed them yeterday and just got my reply. The backorder from klipsch is 3 months, so they pulled them.
