I guess I'll settle for the Z-5500 when a deal comes around. Are these (Promedias/5500s) ok for home theater use? For use with TV/DVD player/consoles etc, in a small room.

not true... i had 2 sets of newer ultras that had amp/sub issues..
finally trashed them and went logitech 5500s..
better decoders and inputs cheaper price =)
You can still get them quicker than anyone else if you get them on raincheck. Check with your state laws but I'm pretty sure the only way they could deny a raincheck is if they state somewhere on the item that "quantities are limited" or "no rainchecks". Or if they completely pull the item out of their system. I'm not seeing that anywhere on this item.
