<< Do the math... With the Dell deal back, you can take that money and get almost 4 sets of Z560s....Egay 3 of them, keep 1, and buy the Klipsch w/the profits. >>

<< Do the research..... Z-560's are only selling for $130-135 at ebay..... not enough profit, unless you charge like $150 for shipping/handling. >>

I have done the research. As of this morning there are 4 auctions for these....3 of them starting at $140. The fourth one has a "buy it now" for $145. Get your own research straight before you post.

<< Have a nice day..... >>

Now get your calculator out, sonny, and try to follow along...

4 sets from Dell @ $110 each = $440 shipped
3 sets sold on Egay for about $150 each + shipping = $450

$450-$419 for Klipsch = $31 back in your pocket plus a free set of Z560's.

No, Thank YOU, and have a nice day...:disgust:

If you take the time to follow the links back to the Klipsch web site, Newegg (who I TOTTALY DIG) is selling these at 1 dollar ABOVE MSRP. So don't buy these at this price thinking your getting a deal, the news here is the fact that they have them in stock.

Um, I think you're forgetting the initial $440. Your $450 on ebay would cover your Dell purchase plus $10. That is your profit. Not $450.

Maybe you should take a few buisness classes. Profit=sales-expenditures. In this case, sales=$450 and expenditures=$440.

I will agree that you get a "free" set of Logitech speakers, but you don't get a free set of Klipsch speakers.

Scroll up and tell me where I said "free" Klipsch....???

If you want to mince words, I said

<< Egay 3 of them, keep 1, and buy the Klipsch w/the profits. >>

True, I should have used the word "proceeds", not profits. I admit that mistake. What I don't admit is a liking for people talking out of their A$$, refuting my post using incorrect figures as facts.:|

Wouldn't the shipping be quite high on the Z560s? I have those Compaq Premier sound things and I'm not impressed, but have avoided ebay due to the high weight of the woofer.

My point to you is that your proceeds/profits are only $10. This is not enough to buy the Klipsch. Yes, by selling three pairs of logitechs you will accumulate $450, but that isn't all profit! It goes towards paying for your 4th set of logitechs with $10 left over!

I am not trying to speak out of my A$$, as you claim. I'm just trying to understand you. IMO, You need an attitude adjustment.

This implies that you are planning on buying the Klipsch with the profits, does it not? Maybe you were unclear. I'm not the only one who misunderstood. Souka did:

I respect you guys comments about getting a HT system for a few hundered more...but what do you get...a low/mid grade home system...
For me, HT systems start & end with velodyne subs and B&W speakers for the componets. either a top of the line dennon DTS-ES compatible receiver or Krell receiver.

Let me say it another way using your numbers:

Out of pocket expenses
$440 ->Logitechs
$419 ->Klipsch
-------
$859 ->total out of pocket expenses

Income due to sales

$450 ->sale of three logitechs

Total profit=sales-expenses=$450-$859=-$409. You get 1 set of Logitechs and one set if Klipsch for $409

Fine. Now lets figure it out w/o buying the Klipschs.

Out of pocket expense
$440 ->Logitechs
$0 ->Klipsch
-------
$440 ->total out of pocket expenses

Income due to sales

$450 ->sale of three logitechs

Profit=sales-expense=$450-$440=$10 You get one set of logitechs and $10.

I can see how if you did this with 42 sets of Logitechs you'd be able to get the Klipsch's with the profits/proceeds (ie. 42*$10=$420), but who knows if you flood ebay with that many logitechs if the price point would hold.

IT JUST DOESNT MAKE SENSE. It's be better to speculate on the NYSE or DOW than to speculate on the price of speakers.

It's just my opinion though. Do whatever the h3ll you want.

Anywho...thanks for posting the deal! I know a lot of people were waiting for these.

I bought mine at 12:01 when they first came out over the summer. I got one of the first 100 that had a glitch in the amp wiring so I just sent them back last week. The Klipsch customer service was very good, and for basically $20 (shipping) I get an updated set.

The speakers have treated me very well, and since I already have the Audigy/Pioneer DVD (slot load!) they compliment my system very well. Sound-wise they are awesome, and you can't deny that.

Lemme ask you this, how can you guys watch DVD on a 17 to 21" monitor and be happy with that? Even with DTS/DD/5.1 or whatever, isn't it a bit uncomfortable and umm SMALL to watch DVD on such a screen? I think watching TV or DVDs on a 27" Sony tube is bad, I dunno how you guys can stand 17 to 21" monitors, even if you are sitting like 2 feet away.

Paying over $400 for computer speakers is insane in my opinion. $200 is the top, after all... it is computer speakers!!!

This reminds me idea of gold plated USB cables. After all, connectors on the motherboard are plain and how gold-plated cables would matter? Same story with speakers... They designed to produce a decent sound, but paying a fortune for that... Still, no matter how great those speakers are, $400+ is still too much.

that why you get a ati 8500DV (on order) to pipe it to the 42" plasma TV in the game room. which will just happen to sitting next to the computer. I will use the 5.1s as computer onlys when I can save/rationalize purchasing B&W's and krells for home audio setup.

Lipsux, you're gonna rip them apart? Aren't you a little concerned that you may destroy the resonance and timbre that was designed for this system? Good luck to you and I hope you get the results you're looking for, but unless you're a speaker expert, you could be destroying the true value.

Too Bad there is so much BS and no real information in this thread. I need a set of HOME THEATER speakers for an averaged sicze 15X20 room in the basement. How about some infomraion on GOOD speakers for that set up with a 43" Sony HDTV. I could use a receiver too. Anyone own this stuff or just trash other people's stuff

Same thing happend to me! Amazing!
Anyway...after talking to Amy and their returns department, I got them to pay for return shipping and have them arrange for FedEx to pick them up. Just had to post on the forum and explain how it isn't your fault that you purchased the speakers when they came out and were flawless up to this point in time. Anyway...

I am sorry you all think $400 for computer speakers is too much, but when I buy Klipsch, I don't do it just for great speakers but also for great service and the fact I know these speakers will last for a long time.

Bought a set of the logitechs to sell cause they were so cheap at dell. Hooked them up to check them out. They sound better and louder than my kilpsch 4.1's. I'm selling the klipsch's. The 5.1's probably rock with the 2 - 8" subs instead of my 2- 6.5" subs the 4.1 klipsch's But not for $400. Save you money everyone. Dell said they were back ordered and my order would be delayed. I got them 5 days after ordering. And a email from them the after i got them saying the were shipped??

They are cheaper this week so im buying 2 more sets

I have the logitechs and kilpsch 4.1's hooked up side by side, and to my ears, the kilpsch's sound clearly better in every way. However, I would say the logitechs are a better value at $114.00.

I have had a pair of klipsch for over a year, and all I can say is that they blow every other type of speaker out of the water. I dont care what people say about logitech, I still wouldnt by speakers from a company that only started making speakers a little while ago. Stick with klipsch, there is a reason they have been in business forever.
