Can I plug my Promedia 5.1 Ultras into the Audigy 2 using the digital connector? If so, is there some particular adapter I need to purchase? Thanks.

I believe what distinguishes the Ultra from standard Promedias is that you get the decoder with the package. All you should need to connect it to an Audigy is an RCA to 1/8th (male-mini) cable.

The A2 has a digital output jack. You can use a 1/8" to mono or stereo RCA cable to connect to the digital coaxial input on a decoder or receiver. However, given the high quality of the DACs on the A2, its likely that the analog connections will sound as good or better.Originally posted by: shminu
If I were to get teh decoder, how would I connect it to my Audigy 2? My soundcard has no coaxial connection or s/p dif.
