WOW. Initial response is in. For 100 bucks, this sub is unstoppable! I did the obligatory U-571 and Matrix demo's. Incredible. Not one ounce of distortion. For it's size it does provide a very nice low rumble. It's not going to be levitating any couches or anything, but you'll definately know it's there I want to play around with positioning in the next few days, but need a longer subwoofer cable. Any recommendations? Need something 25+ ft. Right now it's just against a wall. I'm very curious how much room gain i'll get by moving into the corner. I am really surprised at how damn good this thing sounds! I must say, the little remote level control is pretty handy too. I plan to have these behind the couch, so it will be nice to be able to adjust without going all double-jointed to reach the controls. My main use is for movies, so not having a fully adjustable crossover is not an issue. My Yammie will handle all the crossover duties with the LFE channel from the DD or DTS soundtracks. It's very hard resisting not ordering one more, but I really think one will do just fine. I don't want the bass to overpower everything else. I like my sound balanced, and this sub does that perfectly. If your looking for a very nice budget sub, this is it! Oh yeah, there is one downside. The LED on the remote volume pod is almost blindingly bright in a dark room. Be careful!
For anyone thats interested, here is my setup:
Yamaha 5650 receiver (I love this thing!)
Toshiba 3750 DVD player
Infinity SM Center
Infinity SM 82 for fronts
Infinity SM 62 for rear L/C/R
Klipsch SWS
JVC 27" TV (can't wait for tax return time! hehehe...)

[edit] Forgot to note, only sub I can directly compare this too is my Altec sub from my ADA 880's. (8" rear ported sub, but only 40watts RMS) Actually, there is no comparison. I can't give a good comparison to the 5.1 sub though, as I've never heard it. I do have a set of PM 2.1's at work. Those are one of the main reasons I chose this sub. The sub on my 2.1's is incredible. I always get comments about how good they sound. Of course, I agree 100%, they are the best sounding PC speakers. (Klipsch PM line in general) [/edit]
