ok, i created a swap partition and a linux partition, but it keeps on telling me that i still dont have all the requirement to install knoppix. any suggestions?

You probably are going to have to be much more specific than that. . .
Post what your partitioning scheme is, your hardware, EXACTLY what it is saying, EXACTLY what options it is giving you if any at this point, stuff like what file system you used, etc. . .
ok, i have a 20 gig hd with 256mb ram. so i created a swap partition of 384MB and a linux partition of whatever that's left. from my previous experience with older versions of knoppix, this is all you need to do to install. except that now when i write things to the table and quit the partition program to go on with the installation, i get a message that tells me that i still havent met the requirement for installation and that i should make sure that i have a swap partition of at least 128mb and a free linux partition of at least 2gb, both of which i already have.
I would download it and test it out myself if I hadn't already used 3GB of my alloted 5GB for this week. What type of linux partition did you create? ext3? Did you use QTParted? I never had any problems like this and I've done a couple Knoppix installs.
I ran into a problem like that with a hd-install of Knoppix a while back...it wouldn't let me install if the swap partition was over a certain size (I think it was at about 1 gig).
well, right now the biggest problem is that i can no longer boot into knoppix itself using the cd, things just start scrolling while booting and then it all goes to hell.
